What DS9 species would you be?

Since when does honour win wars?

Dropping a nuke does.

My point being: You should stop watching bad Samurai movies with Tom Cruise. (Well, crap... he even lost in that one, didn't he? But they fought for HONOUR!!!)
While I actually agree with you... to my eternal shame and embarrassment, I will admit to crying silent, manly tears at the end of that movie.

"They are all... perfect."

BAM. Manly, manly tears.

As to your main point--honor and courage don't guarantee victory, but honor gives a motivation to fight, and courage gives a good boost of endurance.

See: The American Revolution.
Are you implying that British soldiers and Colonial loyalist lacked honour and courage? You may argue they were on the losing side of history, maybe even on the wrong side, and I might be inclined to see your point. But saying it like that, you sound like a bad impression of Mel Gibson's Patriot.

^Spare the straw man, iguana.

Of course the British had honor and courage--and, indeed, still do.

Frankly, had it not been for Britain fighting with honor and courage...the Nazi's could well have succeeded in conquering Europe, before our entry into the war.

But as I said, it gives a motivation, not a guarantee.

I agree with your last post, but in that case, your previous example didn't make any sense.

If both sides have honour and courage, but only one side wins... well, then honour and courage mean nothing towards victory. You just refuted your own claim.

^Not at all. Both sides simply have the same "boost"--the same "advantage", which effectively cancel one another out.

It's like when one side has nukes--but the other side does, too. Nukes are surely advantages in war (or so { Emilia } says). That isn't necessarily taken away when the other side gets them, too. It just means they have the same "boost", which cancel each other out.

There's absolutely no evidence suggesting that the opposing side had no honour or courage. It just looks that way (to you) cause they lost I guess?

Edit: Oh, nvm. I didn't see the iguana already taking care of you. :)
