But is seems too far out of reach?

1. Financial Security(I am currently unemployed, for a year now and can't seem to get anyone to hire me. :( )

2. A Home Of My Own. (I currently live with family in our grandparents house that is falling apart and there is no money to fix it...to be honest it is a nightmare...I would love to buy some land near by and build a modest house that I have found plans for...but I will keep dreaming.)

3. Get Married And Have Children. (Many things would have to change financially and physically for this to happen. :sigh: )

That is pretty much it at the moment.

1. Financial Security

This.

I'm an out of state college student (Meaning I pay around $12,000 a semester) with almost no money in my accounts. I struggle constantly just to pay bills and get enough food. The fact that my girlfriend I live with has a decent amount of money (she pays normal rates and as a grad student is able to teach for extra money) is embarrassing and I end up feeling a bit emasculated at times.

I'm also currently unemployed. I at least still have my Army Reserve job, which pays me a meager sum and the GI Bill. It's not much, but it allows me to skate by, although there are times when things are Desperate and I have to make painful decision.

On the good side, I'm graduating next May, and had a job interview yesterday that I think went well.

Also, outside of money issues I'm very happy with my life. Once I get through college and on my feet, It's all gravy. :)

Okay in all seriousness, my answer would be children.

I totally regret not going to college after I graduated high school and my life would have been way better if I would have just did it...nothing was stopping me really at the time...just wanted a break for a year...which turned into never doing it.

@Kestra I hope it happens for you. :)

I have a deep longing to be a parent. Of course, first I have to find someone, build a relationship, ensure stability, etc. So there's no realistic way of achieving that goal any time soon. Which sucks, but that's of course the way it is, so it's not too big a burden.

The place of my own and money thing is a concern of course, but I'm in my final year of university now and I'm just about to head into all that...so I can't actually complain about it yet, it might end up going reasonably well.

So, babies, mostly. I want children. :)

I'm in the own my own house camp.

The good thing about all the years of college, grad school, etc. my wife and I took is that we now make more than enough money for mortgage and upkeep on a house, and can just skip past the starter house stage.

The bad thing about it is that between tuition and woefully underpaid research assistant jobs, it took us until we were 30 to be able to start saving for the down payment and rainy day (new roof, boiler died, etc.) fund.

We should be able to in the next 5 years, but it's hard to be patient.

"I want it all, and I want it now."

All kidding aside..

What I want is to be more financially secure, so that I could travel a little and see a little more of the world, without worrying about being broke.

I want to have a kid, who really needs parents, to come live with us, so we can help said kid have a good and decent life.

I want to have a little fun, to be challenged a little, instead of trudging along in a dull and meaningless rut until the day I die.

--> A world travel, though not only travelling, but also working in different projects. A bit of it I will make come true, but not as big as I would love too, if I had the money.

--> Finding a partner and having children, like some of you already said.

--> Keeping the hold on my Stipend, so that I can go on with the Master without having more dept after it, than I have allready. (This will be decidet in about 2 or 3 month ... if its out of reach or not I am not sure ... hope not, but one can never be sure how they decite, if I am "good enough" for them when it comes to what they want in grades and personality. :-/ )

--> Seeing earth from outer space for myself! :D

I have no doubt it was the right decision. I wouldn't have met my girlfriend of three years if not for college, and I think this degree and my experiences will help me get my foot in the door somewhere next year.

Most of my close friends didn't go to College, although a few of them have gone back to school in the past year or so. The ones that did are already graduated. I lost a semester for my initial Army training and another semester's worth when I transferred schools. Thankfully it's almost over.

I may return someday for a Master's degree but for now my girlfriend and I have decided it would be best for me to enter the workforce after getting my undergrad so I can get out of this financial mess, get a car etc. I'm thinking nightclasses in a few years may be just the thing.

I'm thinking we have the same list.

What I want most is to finally feel like I am on the right place in my life. I want to feel like I am doing my best and it's been a while since I've felt that way.
Right now what I want most is to make good results in next semester and to finally find a friend that I can trust.
Of course I also want all of those things others wrote but some I simply can't have now and wouldn't want now, in this stage of my life, but definitely one day.

Marry me.

What the hell do I know? I misuse words and shit all the time.

Financial security.

I too have been unemployed for over a year (I do get a pension from my former employer because I qualified for early retirement and certainly needed the additional income).
