What Do You Want...

I already have a home of my own, thanks to my grandparent's foresight, and the woman I want. We're not married, but it's been discussed. I will personally fix myself in order to avoid the terrible tragedy of fatherhood, no thanks, let somebody else do it). The only thing left to achieve is financial security.

That, and a never ending supply of vanilla ice cream.

My needs are simple.

Sure, it's just vanilla ice cream now.

Then it will be Madagascar vanilla ice cream.

Then organic Madagascar vanilla ice cream.

Then you'll be wanting PX poured on top.

Then...

It never ends... :D

Well, if I ever decide I want that stuff, I'll know who to come to.

I want to want something. I think I could figure out a career if I just cared about anything at all. Actually don't really want the career - housewife would do me just fine. Nobody seems to want the gig, though.

So, I guess I want somebody to love, marry, grow old with.

Kids'd be okay, but not necessary. I'd be open to fostering if I were married. There are too many foster kids out there living in lousy conditions that could use a safe, stable home.

Kids and marriage would be nice but they might cramp my lifestyle. I have other things that I want to achieve first.

I want to get out and see the world a bit. I want to travel to Europe and America, and China, Japan, and Russia. I've only ever been to Greece once ..

I want to go to France and Italy and learn how to cook from the masters. I want to go to Antarctica and sit on the bottom of the world.

I want to explore my own country. Get out and go walkabout for a month, or a year. See the wide open spaces that are just off the highway.

And then buy up a roadhouse in the middle of nowhere and spend the rest of my days in God's country.

I fear marriage might put an end to my dreams. Death to marriage!

You know, you could foster and/or adopt without being married. Granted, if I were still single, I don't think I'd take it on alone, but lots of women do. You'd be surprised how many girls are up for adoption in my state and their description reads "needs to be in a single-mother household, without older male children."

Don't have to be a genius to connect the dots there.

But is seems too far out of reach?

1. Financial Security(I am currently unemployed, for a year now and can't seem to get anyone to hire me. :( )

2. A Home Of My Own. (I currently live with family in our grandparents house that is falling apart and there is no money to fix it...to be honest it is a nightmare...I would love to buy some land near by and build a modest house that I have found plans for...but I will keep dreaming.)

3. Get Married And Have Children. (Many things would have to change financially and physically for this to happen. :sigh: )

That is pretty much it at the moment.

A dog. I love owning dogs, but since I'm living abroad and not really settled for the long term-- owning a dog is sort of out of the question.

1. better teeth
2. a new mobile phone
3. Natalie Portman
4. travel the world (and meet many other BBS folks)
5. travel into space
6. to be under 100kg
7. a job which where I feel wanted and allows me to live corfortably
8. to see the mighty Parramatta Eels win the NRL Premiership
