I want to see some aliens from the Animated Series. If TPTB want Star Trek Beyond to be more like Guardians of the Galaxy, give me billion-strong armies of Skorr birdman soldiers, have the Enterprise sent to the Verdala asteroid to learn some ancient space knowledge from some magical bipedal cats, and if you want super-cool alien crewmen, look no further than Mr Arex.
The stuff they need is already there.
Oh,,.....and more of the cute blonde officer that was seen briefly during Kirk's plea with Adm. Marcus. She is frakking hawt!![]()
I'm clearly in the minority... I want to see something NEW. If there wasn't a single bit of fan service or references to things happening outside the immediate story, I'd be happy with that. Boldly go o to some strange new world for Christ's sake, and stop looking backwards and/or sideways.
I definitely want to see the Giacchino score back. I love it; it's energetic, dynamic, and powerful.

Agreed. I love Giacchino's main theme as much as I loved Goldsmith's theme. Different, but evocative of Star Trek.

I second this, the Giacchino score has become one of those key elements of the new Trek series. I can't imagine a better theme for the Enterprise rising out of somewhere than that one.
Yeah, It's pretty great. Introduction, some buildup, then BOOM, Star Trek title card and Giacchino's epic theme.I hope they retain the same pre-title sequence too.
I hate it when they change the credits on a big franchise - Die Hard 4 is a perfect example of this.

I was unpleasantly surprised with what Christopher Nolan did with Interstellar. His Batman movies, and Inception, all had the same type of title card at the end of the film - black background, white text, same font, same letter spacing, all caps.
But then again, he also had a different director of photography, so Interstellar differed from his previous works in more ways than one.
I hated how they handled the opening of Nemesis too. They threw out the credits entirely, just kept the Title card and threw in a rushed piece of music that was just beginning to get good when it abruptly ended. It just felt so sloppy (like everything else in that movie, TBH).

Less stupid action
No Villain who wants to destroy Earth
An ending that restores the Prime Universe
Because it's a part of the end credits sequence, which makes sense, really. I hope it's in the third film as well as part of the end credits. Not a fan of Giacchino. What I really don't want to hear is that repetitive, hyped-up version of the TOS theme yet again. It was fun once, but why did they repeat it in STID?
