Whoever the next baddie is, let's have him/her/it be from somewhere other than Earth or Earth's past. Two in a row is enough.
I don't understand how each Star Wars films can show empires at war, massive starship battles and quieter character moments; but for roughly the same budget; nu-Star Trek can only recycle the one ship vs one bad guy story.
You think they are screaming about JJ Abrams and how he turned Trek into Star Wars now...
I think Star Trek is a tougher nut to crack. Pretty much everything is anti-hero stuff nowadays and Star Trek is about the military as the heroes. People are just more into anti-heroes.
"Go ahead. Make my stardate."People are just more into anti-heroes.
But almost every single big budget film is some super hero franchise. Which I'm getting tired of BTW.
I'd like some development of Spock/Uhura without them fighting or breaking up.
I'd like a friend to foe kind of villain, a woman especially.
Maybe bring back one of the "Lady's of the week" like Jaylah or Carol Marcus?
This made me laugh more than it should have.Female Ferengi named Hrump.![]()
Bringing back Jaylah as the Enterprise's new navigator would be great.Maybe bring back one of the "Lady's of the week" like Jaylah or Carol Marcus?
They practically were enemies in Trek XI and "Frenemies" in STID, and honestly, it added nothing to either movie.Kirk and Spock becoming enemies (for the duration of the movie) because of some tricky situation involving really nasty aliens, the nastier we've ever seen.
Do you think that's possible in a Hollywood movie?I'd actually like there to be no space battles. Not because I'm opposed but because not every story needs them and it's not like there haven't been any already.
