What do you enjoy about the series

Jason Isaacs is really an excellent actor. Probably the best we've seen in the franchise in a major role since Sir Patrick in 1987.

I love the production values, the ship designs (interior & exterior), the Klingons and the drama and tension between the crew. That makes for good story telling character development.

I'm really loving this show!!!

Maybe I'm just getting soft and easy to amaze in my old age....but TENSION is the right word. I find myself on the edge of my seat every episode.

I dig that.

I enjoy the fact that there is clearly a money-based economy, as well as the depiction of Starfleet as a space military/navy. The interpersonal conflicts among the crew are a nice touch as well.

- Realistic human behavior. Last night, when Tilly said "That's fucking cool!" I thought I was hearing things, but when Stamets agreed, "Yes, that is fucking cool," I smiled. It's refreshing to have Starfleet characters acting like real people having real reactions instead of cardboard cutouts reacting blank-faced to happenings going on. I also love we have characters that aren't the best and the brightest of Starfleet all somehow serving on the same ships.

- Jason Isaacs as Captain Gabriel Lorca. Again, it's refreshing having an actual human with faults and emotions in command of a Federation ship

- The spore drive/tardigrade. We are given a reason to care that the propulsion system is in danger of collapse instead of hearing how the dilithium is running low

- I also love the fact that not everybody is in love with the idea of the Federation going around pissing off other cultures. I loved how Harry Mudd pointed out that there were more of the little guys "down there" than the bigger guys "up there."

Edit: Sorry, I thought I hit the edit button, but instead I replied to myself

I like that the cgi isn't naff.
Great cast and characters.
The humour and tension.
The whole story line is interesting.

Adding to my list:

I love the medical uniforms and dig sickbay.
Lorca gets more interesting by the week.
Rainn was good as Harry Mudd, and I'm looking forward to his next appearance. The writers managed to make him the right degree of malevolent.
I'm really liking Stamets, too.

-I'm starting to warm up to Stametts quite a bit.

-I love Tilly, favorite character on the show

- The production values are really nice

-The spore storyline and the Tradigrade arc

I enjoy some of the visuals, exterior especially. The look of USS Discovery is beautiful and that surprises me.
To be 'involved' in Star Trek again at a fresh episode, week to week way is still anticipation I can enjoy at some level.
I like a lead character that is a woman, I however like having the Captain (who just happens to be a man), being compelling as well. I won't pretend to actually like them as such, but they have potential.
I liked Ripper.
I actually (no snark intended) appreciate that characters can die. That's awful but it's been okay with me so far.
I look forward to a resolution of the war and to actual exploration of the .. stars.

-I love how they're making Klingons a culture.
-I enjoy this Klingon dialect and how patiently they speak.
-I love how the story reminds me of a David Mack novel.
-I like how the writers have evolved the Star Trek Series.
-I like the story-arc style.
-I like how dark the tone of the show is.
-I like the diversity in the character personalities.
-I like that they killed off Captain Georgiou.
-I like how mysterious Voq is.

I agree with everything said already . For me it's the unpredictability of everything. I don't know whose going to live from one episode to the next. Im not exactly sure what everyone's motivations are. I'm not always sure who is the good guys or bad guys. I'm not always sure how the episode will end...All of which is a nice change from the stale and predictable nature that plagued the last few series in this franchise.

The way I see it is this: as long as the show was better than the first two seasons of ENT or the first two seasons of TNG, then the show is OK with me.

The show is OK with me.
