What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

There was ham, and these green beans wrapped in bacon:drool: and a chocolate fountain where I think I polished off all the strawberries and apple slices. Champagne, wine, wine, wine, wine...

I had a turkey and cheese sub. The cheese was something called Provolone (I hope I'm spelling that right), it was the first time I've ever had it, and I LOVED every bite of it. I didn't know there was a kind of cheese I hadn't had before. I was sure I'd tried them all.

A thick juicy cheeseburger and waffle fries. Delicious to the core. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time.

Oh yeah, Provolone is delicious. I put it on pizza and in salads. I like it better than Colby (though not as much as Swiss).

No formal meal to speak of. We spent the day watching football and grazing on different things like chicken wings, pizza, nuts, deviled eggs, pastries from the bakery, etc.

I made teriyaki salmon, veggies and homemade mashed potatoes. The boys decided to go with schnitzel instead. For dessert I baked brownies (with pieces of chopped up candybars) and served with whipped cream.

Today I started on my weight-watchers plan again, so no more brownies even though they are screaming from the kitchen..

Had my belated birthday dinner with a few close friends at my new favorite pub downtown and flirted with the waitress, got her to remember my name, almost got her number and had the most amazing Bangers and Mash served on a Yorkshire Pudding platter that I've ever had. Had bread pudding with fresh custard for dessert as well.

That sounds fantastic! I haven't had good Bangers and Mash or bread pudding since ..., well, since I was last in London, I suppose.

Better luck next time with the waitress. :bolian:

Oh, thanks to the many holiday leftovers, I made turkey pot pie.

Tomato soup.

:(

I don't know about anyone else here, but there are times that nothing will satisfy me like a hot bowl of tomato soup (especially on a cold winter day.) Hope you enjoyed it!

As for me, I made Cabernet braised beef short ribs with blue cheese mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli (spent all my creativity on the rest of the meal, I guess.) :)

Left over chicken drumsticks that I cooked in my slow cooker with a seasoned sauce that, in and of itself, makes a tasty soup.

The tomato soup is good and so is chicken noodle...I am sick and eating heavy food just doesn't help...plus need something easy on the throat.

I will have broccoli & chedder soup tonight...I love that one. :)

I will be purchasing 3 steak soft tacos off Taco Bell's new fresco menu on the way home from work this lovely evening. (the new light menu for folks who are watching their fantastic figures)
