What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

I experimented with stuff bought at the farmers's market: squash pasta with chicken, onion, garlic, red wine, purple cauliflower and broccoli. I have to call it a mixed success - not something I'll probably make again but I'll eat the leftovers.

Fried Zucchini, Mashed Potatoes, and Ramen Noodles; staples which I usually consume when I am either too lazy or broke to go visit the grocery store.

Homemade French Onion soup, complete with French bread toasted with Swiss cheese.

I'd love to compare recipes sometime. I make a mean batch myself, but swap muenster for Swiss as the wife isn't a fan of it.

I also usually get half shnockered off the leftover sherry, if Mr. Met doesn't get it first.

I'd be up for some general recipe swapping, but I'd love to get a good French Onion soup recipe. The Hubby loves it, but I wasn't a real fan until recent years so never put much effort into finding one (selfish, I know.) :p

Hubby grilled burgers for us last night.

I don't know WHAT we are having tonight, as he hasn't come home yet, and he's supposed to be picking someone up at the airport.

I just had a turkey BLT wrap from the local deli. Minus the B, I'm not a fan of bacon. They smothered the thing in the spiciest honey mustard I've ever had in my life. I've had this brutal cold, and have been downing sudafed since Tuesday. I should have just eaten one of these sandwiches -- my sinuses have completely cleared!

Samosas, curry and rice. Always good to have samosas once in a while. :bolian:
Mmmmmm....I love samosas. My best friend and I used to go to an Indian restaurant in Seattle when I was in high school. We would order samosas and lassis and nothing else for our meal. Once we had been roaming the city all day and hadn't eaten at all, we were so hungry we ordered 5 orders of samosas to share and a lassi each. We just about killed ourselves polishing off 5 samosas apiece. But it would have been a heavenly death.

We have this South Asian food store in town which makes samosas every Saturday afternoon, and which are usually sold out by about 4pm. Best samosas ever. :D

We had to improvise last night. So my wife put six frozen chimichangas in a casserole dish, covered them in enchilda sauce and chipotle salsa and then smothered them with shredded queso at the very end. Added some refried beans and rice and it turned out to be a pretty good meal.

My girlfriend and I watched DVD's with a friend last night. She went and got us enough Subway sandwiches and microwave popcorn to keep us all fed for a week.
