What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

Had homemade brazed beef on rice! It was great.Had four chocolate chip cookies from 7/11 and a Coffee Crisp bar for desert.

A grab bag of Cool Ranch Doritos & Some Skittles.

Oh with a Diet Code Red Mt Dew

I made Chicken Cacciatore in the crock pot last night and served it over a bed of angel hair pasta with garlic breadsticks on the side and a vegetable.

This is a new version for me, and while I generally followed the recipe, I did add a few things. It turned out excellent, just melting in the mouth.

For tonight, I ate the leftovers. There's still just about enough to make lunch tomorrow...

Sweet red peppers stuffed with spicy Italian sausage, with macaroni and cheese and salad on the side.

Sometimes a gal's just got to have a little sausage, you know?

I was out at my local mall, so I stopped by the food court and ordered some Chinese: orange chicken, rice, vegetables... good stuff.

It was brown beans and rice mixed all together last night that I had for dinner. It was delicious, most of all, but adding bread with bean sauce was super delicious!

*raises eyebrow to Roger Moore levels of archness*

Chinese take-out for me tonight. Beef ho-fun & sweet & sour crunchy pork balls. A ho-fun with balls pun would be just too obvious... :p

Breaded Tilapia with circle-cut home fries and green beans. It's my version of fish & chips.

Tonight will be veggie lasagna.

Did I mention that it was...hot...sausage?

Since when? ;)

Oh god, that sounds so good it hurts!

Ooh, it was - they were just about the last peppers from our garden, too. ::sigh::

I love nearly everything about fall and winter...except the produce. I am grateful for the production and transportation miracle that allows me to have fresh produce year-round, but on the other hand, it doesn't always conform to my definition of "fresh." Ah, well.

Last night, we took my mother-in-law out of the Macaroni Grill. Hubby and I were starving, and we just scarfed down everything.

I had the penne rustica, which actually wasn't bad.

Tonight, however, I cooked, as usual. I made breaded lemon-pepper chicken, long-grain rice and salad, with black cherry dressing.

I went to Luby's where apparently the entire city of Austin had decided to have supper. Damn, that line was loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
oooooooooooooooooooong!
