I would have to say gold also. Hey, I'm a natural born leader.
Kirk's green leisure wraparound looks awesome if you're buff and fit. Less so if you have love handles.

If we assume that there was considered to be nothing inappropriate, devaluing, or embarrassing about the female uniforms in the first place (as is to be assumed Starfleet felt, or the uniforms wouldn't be used), there's really no reason why a female captain would stop wearing them when she was in charge.
My assumption would be that all women were allowed to wear pants, though.
The helm always looked awesome, too. I wish one of the later TOS revisits on DS9 or ENT would have shown what the inside of Sulu's pop-up scanner looked like. Something really advanced looking.
While red is my favorite color, I voted green, as I'm partial to Kirk's first-season wraparound, and I'd rather be on the command track. I wonder if, like Picard, only the captain wears that variant, or if other officers who aren't the captain can wear it? And does it come in different colors? I remember Charlie Evans wearing a golden wraparound over a white mock turtleneck pullover. Maybe Spock wears a blue wraparound over a black pullover from time to time. I think Spock is too dignified to let his chest show. -- RR
I was wondering the same thing about whether other crew - senior officers at least- could wear the 'captain's variant' costumes - from Kirk's wraparound to the 'bomber jacket' in the movies to Picard's jacket and grey shirt and his FC vest. Admiral Morrow wore a bomber jacket in TSFS. Scotty technically wore a black vest version of the bomber jacket - but that was of course when he was Captain of Engineering. Sisko also wore the FC style vest (post promotion to Captain of course.)
I've been told I look good in red, evidently it suits the complexion I've inherited form my northern british ancestors. On the other hand, I'm a dental technician in RL, which is sorta medical, which would place me in a blue shirt. But, if I were really a crewman on the Enterprise, I'd want to drive! So I picked gold and hoped for a helm position. Navigator would be cool too.
