I love the cgi model. But I'm glad it was cut.
Imagine Tim Burton's Batmobile appearing in The Dark Knight Rises: no matter how cool it would be - it would take you the fuck out of the movie you're currently watching.

Something similar happened in the Robocop reboot. I remember seeing the '87 suit make an appearance, possibly early R&D, before they went for the new design. Then they sadly made that black, which ruined it a bit.

I didn't mind the look of Robocop in the reboot. But they should never try and make a PG-13 Robot cop movie. Robocop movies demand over the top excessive violence. Even if not made in the 80's it still needs a touch of that 80's vibe to it IMO.
