I know this is for April Fools but had it not been for Lower Decks you’d at least be right on the TV side.
Didnt she have a lot of personal issues that would have led to her eventually having to leave the show anyway?
That's the rumour. Still, her presence was a calming influence on Voyager.

C'mon, Prodigy's great and the Short Treks were fun.
I agree about Prodigy. I just think LD and Enterprise are better. Still a long way to go with Prodigy though.
Short Treks was way too hit/miss for me. And there were more misses than hits.
The only issue with your logic is that they replaced Lien with Jeri Ryan (another female actor).
My point is they didn't have to!
Maybe not, but they could have chosen either to:
1. Replace her with a male character
2. Not replace her at all...
Let's at least look at the positive and give credit that the showrunners decided to replace Lien with another female actor.
Add Seven, ditch Chakotay. Everyone gets a promotion.
Add Seven, ditch Chakotay AND Kim, and you truly give the impression that no one is safe.
Unfortunately Chakotay was low-key after scorpion because he basically had no storyline left. I was really looking forward to seeing his character continue develop through the latter seasons.
