What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

“STD” does not work because I’ve never heard anyone ever call Voyager “STV”. It also immediately brings my hackles up because it’s used by THAT section of the fanbase as a juvenile insult.

Sorry, I like the show, but I am going down with that s ship. The fifth movie (and my favorite) "Star Trek: Save the Whales;" Harry Kim and Neelix (who I both like) are "the Dweeb" and "the Hedgehog" respectively; and the new prequel series (which I enjoy) is "STD."

IN SOME WAYS, the "Before and After" timeline was better than the one we got.
* Overall, Chakotay was probably a more stable captain than Janeway was. Let me be clear, I like Janeway very much, but when she fixed her mind on something, everything in her path got steamrolled.
* Tuvok undoubtedly balanced Chakotay well as first officer.
* People actually got promoted. And Harry scored.
* The Doctor had a name and a better hairstyle.

The Drumhead is a very good episode.

Surely not a controversial opinion (unless I am well out of modern fandom line of thinking). I have always thought this was one of the most highly regarded TNG episodes?

I certainly love it, one of the best, and still so incredibly relevant.
