What are you watching???

Today it was Minnal Murali (മിന്നൽ മുരളി). Quite enjoyable, although it falls into a lot of the common superhero movie clichés in places. So much ground has been covered in the genre that it's hard to come up with something new. I found the setting interesting, and the lower stakes were an advantage. The villain was also interesting, and they picked a great actor for the part!

in living room, the local news on the local CBS channel

then in my living room, im busy watching Hack the Movies Tony and that Casey doing a new review video of original Poltergeist

Daylight -- Prime

I watched this when it originally came out, and I enjoyed it as much on rewatch yesterday. It's fun action film. No idea why it's rated so badly on rotten tomatoes. It's a good film.

Next on the DVR is last night's FBI and DMV on CBS, Followed by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Watched the latest episode of The Boys today, co-starring Jack Quaid. And now UPS has delivered my copy of Innerspace, starring Dennis Quad (before he went nuts).

More Johnathon Creek.

Started 12 Monkeys the TV series. I have only ever seen the first season.

Having some issues with season 2 of Hannibal on Prime. Looks like they didn't encode it correctly.

Finally, I'm undecided between rewatching Shannara and some Discworld stuff.

I thought Randy Quaid was the one who had "issues" and Dennis was the somewhat normal one.

You are correct that Randy has been arrested for his behavior more than once --years of drug use caused brain damage, paranoia, etc. However, Dennis also was a heavy drug user and alcoholic. In recent years, he's claimed to have "found God " and says Trump is our "savior.". So, yeah, both brothers are fucking nuts .

Catching up on Brilliant Minds. Enjoy the show but it's DOA. NBC yanked it from the schedule in February and will burn off the remaining episodes in May-June.

Have to wonder about some seriously questionable creative decisions. For season two, they reduced two of the main characters to recurring and added three new regulars, but two of the new characters barely appear and don't really do anything. The two characters reduced to recurring (and later written out) still did more in their reduced roles than these new characters. Kind of strange to shake up the foundation like that while increasing the cast but not doing anything with 2/3 of the new hires (who get paid for every episode despite disappearing for stretches).
