What are you watching???

Caught up with SLEEPY HOLLOW this morning.

Sunday poses a dilemma: You've got THE WALKING DEAD, DOWNTON ABBEY, GRANTCHESTER, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. (on MeTV) and the Oscars.

Not entirely sure how I'm going to manage that!

All That Jazz, which I'd never seen but impulse bought during B&N's last Criterion Collection sale. A crazy, colorful, energetic collage as the great Bob Fosse meditates on his own mortality. Probably Roy Scheider's greatest film role, and Ann Reinking... wow, if it's ok to retroactively develop a crush on someone...

And Jessica Lange as the Angel of Death . . ..

MASH. Lots and lots of MASH on Netflix. They only have seasons 1 to 5 so far, and I have watched every episode twice. I'm going on my third watch. They should hurry and get the other seasons up.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I'm going to manage that, either. I'll probably start with the Oscars, then switch to Walking Dead, b/c hubby likes that, too, and then switch back to the Oscars, and watch Downton on Monday. I think. Maybe.

The cable was out due to weather until about 20 minutes ago, so I watched a movie the old-fashioned way: The Enemy Below with Robert Mitchum and Kurt Jurgens. Excellent, taut war movie with a great cat-and-mouse game between two great actors. This episode was also the basis of the classic Trek episode "Balance of Terror," so I've been meaning to watch this for a long time.

Watched Good Will Hunting for the first time. It was a decent movie, but Robin Williams was easily my favorite part. He was just great.

My plan is to watch the Oscars live, tape Downton and Grantchester at the same, and, due to the limitations of my DVR, tape one of late-night showings of WALKING DEAD.

You eventually said "DVR". I'm glad you said "DVR" because after you said "taped" (twice) I was seriously considering the possibility that you were loyal to some 15 year old VCR you were still trying to milk utility out of even though it's becoming more and more impossible to buy "new" bank video tapes outside of a museum.

(Sorry.)

House of Lies.

Best show on TV.
