I'm still reading Lord of the Rings on my Kindle lol I'm actually almost done with Return of the King. 7 more chapters in book 2 of Return of the King.
"The Earth Is Weeping: The Epic Story Of The Indian Wars For The American West" by Peter Cozzens Very informative book, and pretty poignant given everything that's going on with DAPL, Standing Rock, and the Native Nations March earlier this week.
1984 by George Orwell. Read it in high school more than forty years ago, but wanted to re-read it as it's more relevant now than ever.
The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski , which has been a boatload of fun so far and is a collection of short stories featuring Geralt Of Rivia, providing much of the basis for the Witcher video game series.
Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare Sonnets, Shakespeare (I always hear about Shakespeare but I've never ever had the chance to read any of his books)
Reading White Trash Zombie series, Miss Fisher Murder Mystery series, just reread ST Vanguard Harbinger, TRYING to find Summon The Thunder, and AND recently read the Jane Yellowrock companion.
"The Last Rainbow" by Parke Godwin, for the first time in decades. It's a historical novel about the young Saint Patrick.
So do my wife and I. I also just started reading the ST Academy books. I know they wrote them for kids and teens, but I enjoy them, that is, once I overlook some mistakes, such as who Worf's brother is.
Have you read THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE WHEEL by R.S. Belcher? It's an urban fantasy/horror novel involving a secret order of long-haul truckers who protect America's highways from supernatural threats: ghostly hitchhikers, treacherous truck stops, etc. Sounds like it might be right up your line. A sequel, KINGS OF THE ROAD, is already in the works. (Full disclosure: I edited the book for Tor.)
Started with The Silmarillion last week, took a bit to get through that! Just finished The Hobbit (and loved it as much as I did ~40 years ago) and will be starting on LoTR shortly...
