^Pasta Carbonara is yum, as long as there's no peas in it. As for the honey in the mac 'n' chez, just a wee squirt will do and it adds a little bit of sweetness to it. I can't really explain, but it's worth a try.

I would imagine some overzealous mother would add them in order to get her kids to eat at least some veg!

Personally I'd use Broccoli -at least that is good with cheese

When I was so very dirt poor (I'm only dirt poor now! ), I used to add peas and shredded cheese to creamy chicken ramen noodles. It was delicious.

Don't know about cheese (it's bloody expensive), but I used to just throw a handful of frozen veg into the bowl I nuked the noodles in.
