I made Classic Chicken Piccata from my Country Italian Cooking cookbook, with a bag of imported mushroom risotto.
for dessert, I pulled 2 of the ripest strawberries from our garden / sliced over French vanilla ice cream

I had some in Cardiff* 2 weeks ago - huuuuge fish, wonderful batter (with brains' beer) and handmade chips. Almost worth dying for!
*it was in Clare Road, Grangetown, somewhere on the right hand side if you walk towards the bay. I believe it was Jay'Z Cafe, but I'm not 100% sure. Maybe some member from the Cardiff region can help me here?

^^^ Really? You can't get decent fish & chips there? (Although I admit, what we consider decent fish & chips here in the States probably wouldn't pass muster elsewhere...

Can't even find indecent fish & chips here! A bit embarrassing when you consider that none of us live further than ~thirty minutes from the sea!
The battered fish and the vinegar is the problem, as you can get very good chips pretty much everywhere around here (unless you go to one of the multinational burger-chains of course).
