I feel like this question is so appropriate in these covid-times.

Confession: I've been drinking more than I've ever drunken before. On the one hand, feels good! On the other, I know it's not "healthy"...uh...but I'm working out too?

Well, not as much as I should be.

I'm on my 3rd Heineken. So refreshing, and I love the burn of each gulp.

Is this an appropriate topic for misc? Oh well...click!

I don't drink alcohol at all. Never have, never will.

Well, that's not quite true. I used to have a glass of wine occasionally at a social get-together. With my busy social calendar, that meant I drank about two glasses of wine a year. But I don't even like the stuff that much.

Yes, no problem at all. :)

To answer the question... well, I’m not. I had to officially give up alcohol about 5 years ago for medical reasons. I say “officially” because I was never much of a drinker anyway... I think the last time I actually had any alcohol was about 5 - 7 years before that.

Tried beer once when I was 19 (legal age in my province) and didn’t care for it at all, so never bothered with it again. When I did drink, it was usually either vodka coolers or vodka mixed with various juices.

Having a glass of ‘Private Stash’… Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc/Merlot blend. Deeeeelish!

Cheers,

Having a Dutch Grolsch bought in the supermarket yesterday.
It's so tasty, that I'll close my eyes and dream that I'm having "Vulcan Ale"

I have a 12 pack of Red Stripe in the fridge at the moment. I'll have that when the weather gets hotter in the coming days.

I like the regular bottle of Dr. McGillicuddy's mentholmint schnapps or Oma's cherry vodka. Occasionally some Bailey's Irish Cream or some cheap wine, usually Arbor Mist blackberry merlot.

I only drink every other weekend (when I'm child free) but when I do it can only be ice cold draught Guinness.

I had a beer at my parents' house, don'tremember the brand. I really just drink beer and champagne, my system doesn't handle the hard stuff.

That actually allows me to keep hard liquor in my emergency kit (to be used for either antiseptic or a barter item), with no fear that I might actually drink it.

I'm cursing Lidl at the moment because they always must have these thematic weeks and they just so happened to have a beer week so I've once again committed the mistake of buying what is basically a rack of local store-brand beers from various European countries and sampling them until it descends into some sort of late night quarantine karaoke. But their Irish stout is actually surprisingly good and the advertisement on the label talking about undertones of chocolate and coffee definitely didn't lie. I don't usually drink dark beers because much of what's available in Hungary is locally brewed continental bock types which are way too bitter for my liking or the ever-so-overpriced Guinness, but stouts from the Isles have always been a strong favorite so I always jump at the opportunity.

I believe Kaufland and Auchan have the best beer lol :)
Kaufland because they bring a bunch of German beer, and Auchan (French) because they have all sort of foreign beer starting from Belgium, Dutch, German, French, Russian, US and from all over...
Personally I like Wersteiner, Franziskaner and Paulaner..... but Franziskaner tends to be quite expensive in here...

I stopped drinking alcohol completely around 3 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

After all drinking alcohol is illogical
