Definitely DSC. Not STD, because aside from the crude acronym, we don't call Voyager STV. And not DIS, because all I can think of when seeing that acronym is Disney (big Disney fan here). And DSC and DIS are the 3-letter abbreviations used in TV listings for Discovery and Disney respectively.

I thought of the Disney reference too. My first thought on seeing "DIS" is the disboards.

DIS is for me the simpliest way to abbreviate the word Discovery. DSC is just like picking a letter here and there in the word. And as many has sadi before - VOY/ENT is the established abbreviations for the respective series, and DIS is perfect with this.

VGR is *also* an established abrreviation for Voyager.

STD cracks me up, but I'll probably end up using DSC.

You're fighting a battle that was lost about five minutes after TNG was announced.
Does anyone remember when they started calling it TOS? I feel it was more like the late 90s, since I recall it also being called "Classic" for a while in the early/mid 90s. Maybe when the first DVDs were released?

ST : Disco - Live Long & Boogie oggie woogie 'till ya' just can't boogie no mooooreeee, boogie no moooooreeee, boogie...

No holodeck, but a roller disco called "Zanadu"

They always used DSC for the Discovery channel and for the space shuttle. Sounds fine with me.

I voted for DIS because DSC just looks and sounds wrong (and is too close to DS9). However, once I saw it I much preferred the later suggestion for DISC, so that's probably the one I'll use.

I prefer (and have already started using) DISC too. It may be four letters, but it's still just the first syllable which suits me fine.

DSC.

Not even close. Go blame Alec Peters and his Axanar cronies.

Not buying that.
If CBS only had a problem with Axanar they would have only come down on them.
You think a coincidence that a new series was coming out and they broad stroked ALL fan films?
But this is not the correct thread for further discussion.
