I almost typed that to him on his website today but as an author, I was like, "Respect that he'll write or he won't."

I have a funny feeling that Part 2 will play a part in Picard season 3? Or maybe some form of spin off starring Wil Wheaton and Isa Briones?

This random plot development seemed quite contrived and shoe horned in to the episode. As enjoyable as the cameo was from a nostalgic point of view, the writing staff must be planning to take this somewhere? What a waste having a legacy character return and not interacting with any of their fellow cast mates from back in the day. Character wise, he seemed a bit like a geeky Neo from the Matrix.

I wonder what happened to his ‘mentor traveler’? There are so many unanswered questions.
