Hello all! I'm a 20-something journalist in Washington State and have been a trek fan since a little kid. Our family recorded the original movies when they were shown on TV and I wore out the Wrath of Khan tape. Watched basically all of TNG... still think its the best kind of Trek. I enjoy the series optimistic outlook as opposed to all the apocalyptic sci-fi shows and movies that tend to get made now.

Hello, I just joined this forum a month or so ago and I am so glad to be here:) It's nice to speak to people that are interested in the same things I am:)

Hi, I am Bill, 57 years old, and retired after 29 years in commercial nuclear power. I now work part time as an Industrial Safety Supervisor/Specialist and travel to different commercial nuclear power facilities in the Northeast and Midwest to provide safety training and oversight of workers conducting plant maintenance activities.

I was 11 years old when I watched my first TOS episode in 1966: "The Corbomite Maneuver" and became hooked on Star Trek forever. My primary Trek interests are TOS and TNG TV and movies.

I got into replica prop kit making and collecting back in 2008 when I bought my first prop, a HMS TOS Phaser from Rodd.com. I try to combine my basic electronics and laser knowledge into my prop builds. I currently have several ST Phasers equipped with lasers. Tricorders are my latest interest with several on the work bench from the TNG era to build. I also enjoy building scfi models primarily Star Trek and Lost in Space. You can see some of my props on Youtube (Syfypropmaker).

I am also an active volunteer firefighter in my community for nearly 40 years now and also enjoy photography and auto racing.

Thanks for having me aboard!

Welcome to all those that have posted here since I last was here. I hope you'll have fun around here.

Hiiiii everyone. My name is Cyndi and I'm kind of shy. My favorite Trek character of all time is Odo. I like to sing, I do a lot of daydreaming and I love DS9.

Hey all,

I'm Graysen - yeah, I suck at coming up with original usernames lol.

I've been a fan of Star Trek for a few years now and am stoked for the new movie.

Tonk'peh - My name is T'Laina. I have been a Star Trek fan for many years and took it upon myself to learn the Vulcan Language, which I now teach on tumblr. I am actually obsessed with the Vulcan language and culture - and that's a good thing. It saved me. I am twenty-one, and live in Manitoba.

Dif-tor heh smusma.

Posting here because I'm having a bit of a Trekkie revival lately. I'm doing things I haven't done in 20 years, building models, watching Trek specials I havent seen on youtube, even going to my first convention in 20 years in April.

I'm 42, and have been on Trekbbs since 1999, though sometimes my appearances here are wildly sporadic. I'm married, have two stepdaughters. I live in NJ, USA. I have pics on profile. I'm excited for STNG, ENT on bluray and the new movie.

I didn't even know someone had created a complete Vulcan language. I thought it was only fragmentary. I used some of it for a fan fic I never finished but I only found pages with some vocabulary and phrases online when I searched for it.

Hello all. Trek fan for about twenty years and an occasional lurker of these forums for several years as well. I figured it was about time I joined up.

Well, I've been posting for about a week now so I guess it's time I introduced myself.
My Name's Michael. I'm 41 and I've been a Trekkie/Trekker (either term is acceptable to me) since about 1986/87. I had some knowledge of Star Trek before that (had seen TMP and TSFS in theaters TWOK only on Home-video/HBO) But I really got into it when Voyage home was coming out and a PBS type channel had started airing Trek on Saturday Nights (3 eps uncut and commercial Free 11:30-2:30ish) I was a member of the official fan club for about three or four Years)

My primary watching interests is The Original series, The Animated series Original Cast Movies and the Next Generation

I also am a fan of the surrounding literature and comics

My favorite books (many of which I still view maintain under the heading "Personal Canon"
include
Spock's World by Diane Duane (particularly for it's Vulcan history)
Strangers from the Sky by Margaret Wander Bonano
Yesterday's Son
Time for Yesterday both by A.C. Crispin
Vulcan's Glory by D.C. Fontana
Enterprise the First Adventure by Vonda N. McIntyre
The Kobayashi Maru by Julia Ecklar
The Khan trilogy by Greg Cox
as well as a few others here and there.

I also Recognize both of D.C. Comics' Runs set during the Movie Era (between Wrath of Khan and beyond The Undiscovered Country (although I favor the previously mentioned Enterprise over the 1st DC Annual which is an alternate story of the First Mission)

Howdy!

I just wanted to introduce myself.

I am an original Star Trek fan to the core. Love the original series. I am also an avid and Pro Model and prop builder. My work can be seen in the March Issue of Fine Scale Modeler(Galler, Millennium Falcon Build), Sci-Fi and Fantasy Modeler Magazine(Vol. 24 Jupiter 2 Build and Vol 28 Fantastic Voyage Proteus Build up). My work is also on the packaging of Moebius Models Jupiter 2 plug and Play Lighting kit.

I can be found on various Forums as Captain Han Solo as well as my Face Book page.http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Third-Models/251549648289041?fref=ts

It is indeed a pleasure to be here and hopefully I can contribute something worthwhile while exchanging ideas with you guys!
