Janeway was within 4 years of meeting starship vessels on routine exploration who probably didn't have orders to turn around and head back till they made it to the galactic barrier when she met her older self.
The Olympus from Sound of her voice had been out past the Federation borders for 8 years, and her captain was surprised to hear all about the Dominion War.
Geordi went to the DQ and back again in a matter of minutes.
Sisko went to the GQ, negotiated a free mass transit station with God, and then returned also in a matter of minutes.
Ransom had a six month head start on Janeway way, slumming through his sloppy seconds, this woman only managed to endevour a few thousand lightyears off past the point his ship flustered and spluttered, not that letting the Admiral take them home like that wasn't cheating and considering Voyager got home without much fuss it was Equinox who needed the temporal life preserver not Voyager.
If you actually subtract her huge leap forward short cuts, gifts and stolen Borg transwarp coils, Janeway only really chugged along 7 thousand Light years in open space, which is piss all and exactly the same as any Intrepid Class Starship would and could do because those are the specifications of that vessel... 7 years is 7 years which is a very select budget package and hardly any claim to getting their finger nails dirty really furrowing into the nooks and crannies of the Delta Quadrant to go where no woman had been before.
It's possible that Kathryn met more new races than any Federation Star Ship Captain in the last 200 years, however it's also possible that she made more enemies than any Federation Starship Captain in the last 200 Years... Have you seen Enterprise?
Janeway's only real claim to fame is that she survived because she didn't get her crew home via her on resources and she didn't initially set out to explore the Delta Quadrant by her own inspiration, and really as Far as bringing Chakotay back to be imprisoned as a terrorist? If they tried to jail him, she'd have shot people and took Voyager back into deep space rather than turn a 1/4 of her crew over to extradition and "Cardassian Justice".
