Warner bros announce superhero films through 2020

Yup, and that's why all these leaked shots are taking place in broad daylight...
Oh yeah, because I wasn't making a joke about using the excuse of "lighting" being the costumes issue by bringing up a dark alley.
Also, Geoff Johns Shazam back up stories legitimately mostly took place at night and in caves and alleys from the bit I could stomach without breaking something, but this movie will probably have Shazam shake down people for protection money (which he literally did, because geoff Johns is a complete idiot when it comes to this character) in the daylight just so it doesn't seem quite as "Snyderish", since the actions are somehow pure snyder even though he had nothing to do with it and DC seems to want to move away from his style (thankfully, although Shazam is still a Snyderish film).
So, a superhero story, then?
If they're smart, they'll aim to make a family movie with a PG rating and a lot of humor, basically make it the superhero version of "Big". Which Shazam actually kinda is.
I believe I have heard it described in just that way by someone involved with the movie.

When I stopped being an angsty teenager (and became an angsty adult) I realized not all movies are made for me.
Probably. Maybe I've read that a while ago, and it stuck in the back of my head. In any way, it is a very fitting describtion.

Oh for fucks sake. it is literally the Geoff Johns Sivana, that is the only version who is tallish, fit and has a scar on one eye. Yeah, as if I needed more confirmation about what exactly this fucking abomination of a film was. Fuck DC, WB, Geoff Johns and whoever is directing this shit. A few trained sea otters could do their jobs better.
RIP Wonder Woman. I guess the DCEU just couldn't allow a single one of there fucking characters to put out consistently good movies. Assuming nthis was the DCEU leadership's choice. If it was the director, she should be fired for easily the second worst casting in the DCEU after jared Leto as Joker.
Just as Wonder Woman 1 gave me hope for the DCEU once Snyder was gone, this takes it away. Its business as usual in the land of the brain dead movie makers.
Man this feels like Michael Keaton all over again.
Anyway, I'm fine with the casting.
She was really good in Welcome to Me and the Skeleton Twins, and, even though Bridesmaids was a comedy, Wiig played the role relatively straight.
It also earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay
If I remember correctly, everyone ended up talking about Melissa McCarthy as being the breakout/standout role.
Anyway, I'm fine with the casting.

Except Michael Keaton was a decent comedic actor, from the few things I've seen of him that were made pre-Batman. I'm not saying its impossible for comedic actors to be good dramatic actors. I think Robin Williams, for as funny as he was, was very underappreciated as a great serious actor. Wiig I just think is shitty regardless, and is one of the worst choices for Cheetah outside of just completely toll casting the roll.
