Also, I wonder if the space engineer that Monica knows is someone we know or if they'll be a new character?
I was about to ask what Ioan Gruffudd is up to these days, then I googled him and unfortunately found out.
Also, I wonder if the space engineer that Monica knows is someone we know or if they'll be a new character?
I kind of hope not as I've never liked them as characters, but I think it's locked in.That is assuming this whole show leads to a MCU version of Wiccan and Speed...
I mean I never was the biggest fan of them either, but I'd be happy for Wiccan's existence since he's a LGBT hero.I kind of hope not as I've never liked them as characters, but I think it's locked in.
I think Pietro's only there due to being a sibling and (probably) the 80's setting. I'd expect an amusing encounter with Wade at some point in the future if Pietro stays around, but even if this somehow allows mutants into the MCU, I don't think any others will have familiar faces.Crazed speculation ...

I don't know, I wouldn't put it past them to include him as a meta Easter egg.Guys, there's no way this isn't the actual Pietro from the X-verse. There's literally no other reason to cast THAT actor in THIS role.
There were thousands of people fighting there, and I'm sure Nick Fury (assuming that was Nick Fury and he wasn't already in space) debriefed every single one of them and put everything that happened in a big three-ring binder.
Whatever he is, she clearly doesn't have complete control over him, since he's starting to question things.
Another thing I forgot to mention in my other post that I was interesting, is that Vision's coworker was apparently fully under Wanda's control, with no awareness of what's going on, but Agatha isn't. Which makes me wonder if she's possibly helping Wanda of her own free will for some reason. They also acknowledged something that I noticed a couple episodes back, she always manages to show up at the perfect moment, to either help or create a distraction.
Could she be the one who set all of this up for Wanda, and the whole sitcom thing came from her rather than Wanda? If nothing else, that could at least get rid of any questions about how a young woman from a tiny Eastern European country knows so much about American sitcoms.

Honestly the only current X-Men actors I'd want to see join the MCU would be Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, Anya Taylor Joy as Magik (though really the New Mutants actors generally were excellent, especially in comparison to the other X-Men movies) and Evan Peters as Quicksilver.
James McAvoy or Patrick Stewart are unlikely to return as Prof X, same with Michael Fassbender or Ian McKellen as Magneto and a lot of the other characters were either badly written or badly acted or both (looking at you Storm and Jean...) so I'd definitely want new actors for them.
Right, she was X-23, yeah I wouldn't have anything against her coming back. I really want a new, good actress for Storm though. Storm's my favourite X-Men and the movies have always disappointed me with her.But I'd be thrilled to see Dafne Keen back.
They were both *so good* in their roles. The writing of the movie was a bit blah, and it felt more like a pilot to a TV-Show than a proper movie, both the actors were really good and those two were stellar, Williams nailed Rhane's insecurity and vulnerability and Taylor-Joy (aside form some problems with the dialogue, which wasn't her fault) also nailed Magik's various personality components and the inner conflict within the character.*Maisie Williams and Anya-Taylor Joy could theoretically work as exceptions, though. I love the idea of their casting and what I've seen in the trailers but haven't gotten to see the film yet, so I don't know how they held up in the real thing. But if they really are excellent for the roles, they could transition easily since they only appeared once in a film most people haven't seen that (if I understand correctly) doesn't even really strongly connect to the rest of the X-men films anyway.
Agnes isn't the only one not fully under control. We saw in a previous episode that the neighbor was also more aware than, say, Vision's colleagues. And Monica seemed fully under control when she first appeared, but she also started remembering who she was which is what led to Wanda throwing her out of the hex because she mentioned Ultron. One could also interpret the mailman's line 'Your mother won't let him get too far' as a just barely hidden comment on the fact that Wanda is making it all happen, but that's harder to tell if it's coming from the mailman or just the writers playing around.
Clearly some people are completely under control, like Norm, but what the difference between them and the people who aren't is hard to explain. If you ignore the mailman, everyone who's more themselves has been someone close to Wanda (best friend, other best friend, neighbor) so maybe that's it. Or maybe it's people who've seen more obviously weird stuff directly. Or people who've been under control longer. ETA: Longer doesn't work, actually, since Monica came in much later. Maybe Agatha also came in later? The mind control might be strongest on people who were in town when it started.
It's physically possible that some writer somewhere wasted the energy it would take the press his laptop's keys in the precise order to produce that effect...but that would be boring and lame, and not something I see THIS show doing.Of course there is. I can definitely see them playing with alternate universes on a show like this, especially knowing what's coming up with SM3 and DS2, but it absolutely can also just be an in-joke and a way to surprise the audience and subvert their expectations. There's no reason why he has to call himself Peter and speed away when he gets his memory back. He could just as easily turn out to be an accountant named Ronald who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and it would change nothing about Wanda's relationship to him (whatever that's going to be). Her relationship with him is fundamentally fictional either way, since he isn't actually *her* brother no matter what and whatever meaning it has to her or to the audience isn't dependent on who he really is, but on what he says and does as 'Pietro'.
Seconded. But I'd be thrilled to see Dafne Keen back.
I wondered about that, but between SWORD satellite footage, gun camera footage from the Wakandan Air Force, and telemetry from Rescue, War Machine and what's left of the Iron Man suit, there's probably a fairly decent account of the battle. How the hell do they know that Wanda almost killed Thanos? Did she tell them?
Was there someone filming the battle or something?
It’s just the way they talked about made it look like they witnessed it.
It could be, but the one thing that still bugs me with that, is the way Vision's coworker, I can't remember his name, acted like he just became aware of her control, while Agnes at least, seems to be fully aware of what's going on, and is just playing along for some reason. She's the one character, other than Monica, who we've seen fully break character, and be aware of what's going on. Another idea I had earlier, was that Agnes is waking people up. The two other people who seem to have woken up on their own are people who she would probably be familiar with, their neighbor, and possibly the neighborhood mailman. It could be that the people slipping out of Wanda's control are also the ones she's not paying attention to directly. Wanda was completely preoccupied with the birth of the twins, even slipping herself when she mentioned her brother and started singing a lullaby from her childhood instead of something appropriate to the setting. At that exact moment, Monica/Geraldine remembered something from the real world, the Doctor became aware he'd be unable to leave the town, and Herb and Agnes became aware of things that weren't adding up about Geraldine.
Vision's coworkers being totally under control could be because she was concerned with that aspect of the "plot." She told the kids that, even though it was ostensibly Saturday, Vision had to go to work because she needed something to distract him so he'd forget the seams he'd started noticing in their reality.
Wanda also implied as much herself when she sarcastically suggested that she couldn't possibly be puppeteering thousands of people through every individual detail of their lives. Maybe she isn't, maybe they're mostly on autopilot, and her sway over them at those times isn't as powerful as she'd wish to preserve her happy little world.
OK, I'm dumb. I literally only just realised that "hex" also literally means "spell or curse".
Though failing that, I still would very much prefer it if the MCU version of Wolverine is Laura, not Logan. Maybe have Old Man Logan knocking around there too, but she should be the one performing the fastball specials.

"Hex spheres" is the one I recall seeing the most.Wanda's powers have been described as "hex spells" or "hex bolts" ever since the days of Lee and Kirby.
WandaVision set spy images so warning for future content.
Back when they were filming in 2019, there were shots taken of Agnes dressed as a witch. mean it could also easily be Halloween but I dunno, look at what the other people are wearing, looks more like a flashback
