Spoilers WandaVision discussion thread

I nearly stopped watching after episode 2, but glad I stuck with it.
The last ep wasn't too bad to say it's really a clip episode.

While yes, it does include clips from previous episodes, it still feels grossly inaccurate to call it a "clip show." Clip shows generally are just clips of previous episodes with a very loose narrative framing them. This was a very definitive narrative that advances the show's story arc that just happened to also include clips from previous episodes.

Not only that but this episode provided different perspectives of those clips.

I wouldn't call it a clip show, it's more like the episode of Lost where we see everything from the Tailees perspective. I don't know if there's a word for an episode of a show that's "The same events we know from the other side".

30 seconds of footage for what ever episode the Halloween party is in has been leaked, so watch out for spoilers.

Don't hold me to this, but I'm hearing they may do another double-episode drop this week because of the leaked spoilers (and the leaker was fired). Word is definitely going viral about it.

Eh, I doubt it. They’ll want to pad out time as much as they can so there’s less wait between this and Falcon and the Winter Soldier

I wish the episode had been a hour long. It would have been nice to get to know Rambeau a little bit more before thrusting her into Wanda's story. Also allow us to get use to SWORD which is new to the MCU. It would have been cool to even toss a bone to Shield fans by maybe making a reference to Quake and her crew up in space.

This is after Endgame, and both Captain America and Tony Stark died in Endgame. Well, okay, Cap actually died shortly after. In fact, he's probably on his deathbed while all this is going on, so no one's going to be calling him, I think.
This is 3 weeks after endgame. We have no idea when Cap went back to return the stones. It probably took more than 3 weeks to rebuild the portal. So Cap may still be around, but obviously none of the Avengers have noticed Wanda is gone

Yup, I also thought of LOST (and not just that time with the Tailies).

I have to remind recent grads all too often that "probably" isn't accounting, it's gambling.

Old Cap is in a alternate timeline anyways so I don't see him showing up even though he is still alive. Granted maybe that doesn't matter if the show brings in multiverse stuff.

As far as anything I've read, Chris Evans doesn't want to do it anymore. I seriously doubt we'll see him in the role again. Unless they find a lookey-likey or go with a CGI Chris Evans we won't be seeing the Cap we know and love .

Wow! LOVED this episode, and love that they just hit the ground running assuming the audience will have seen the relevant MCU films - IE ZERO extraneous commentary about the 'Blip', etc. -- that IS a Marvel Comic just translated to TV per se and it's great.

I also love how they wove Darcy (from the first two Thor films) seamlessly into all this - and I really enjoy the way Kat Dennings picks up from where she left off and plays her here. Didn't miss a beat.

I have to say I was really loosing interest (I didn't watch the episode until today because I thought - "Yeah, okay 80s sitcom ep. inbound with maybe 5 minutes of 'outside world' stuff to drop another small clue) -- but no, 95% 'real world' and they just did a wonderful setup of the situation and how Monica Rambau became involved; and explained all the small inconsistencies that were cropping up in Wanda's pocket universe to date.

Loved it - and yeah, gotta say the way it's been executed to date has been brilliant. Had they gone one more 'full sitcom' episode, yeah that may have been too much; but placing this episode were they did and how they tied it into existing MCU continuity was honestly great.

Looking forward to the remaining 4 episodes with renewed enthusiasm. no mater how they continue it. For this very old Marvel fan who -- it's very well done.

This may or may not be one of those things where I've watched it too many times and I'm reading into shit that isn't really there kind of things, but when Wanda expelled Monica, she's knocked through two walls in the house, a fence or third wall, then she breaks through the barrier, or BROKE THE FOURTH WALL, and out into the real world.
