Welcome back to the MCU, Darcy! You and your wit have been greatly missed.
That's a hell of way to interrupt the program. I definitely didn't expect to see Monica's perspective immediately after Tony's Snap. I am sad that they killed off her mother, Maria, during the five-year gap, but I get why they did it. I'm hoping we still get to see her again in the Captain Marvel sequel, depending on when its set (or even partially so).
I'm glad the show took a whole episode to show the outside world's perspective and how their experiences correlated with Wanda's Westview fantasy. As I already said, I love having Darcy back and I'm amused how well her pairing with Jimmy works (especially considering I didn't like him all that much before). I'm curious to see how the remaining episodes will play out. Will we get a couple more of straight sitcom pastiches before returning to SWORD and company, or will they be some kind of hybrid?
Returning briefly to the sitcom reality, my heart nearly jumped out of my chest when we saw the walking corpse of Vision. I did
not see that coming.
Now I wonder if Wanda is reanimating his body to give him life again (tapping into some mumbo jumbo about material memory) just as she's using the Westview population to act out her sitcom fantasy. But that still leaves the question of how the twins exist (if they do at all).
And what happened to Franklin/"The Beekeeper"? Was he just blipped out of existence? Why did he just disappear where Monica was expelled?
I wondered the same. The episode went to lengths to show the parallel events to previous three episodes with everything else, but his experience was out of sync. I'm guessing he was erased from existence when she rewound the ten seconds...but was he removed out of space there and then...or for all time?
I loved that Darcy is becoming as hooked on WandaVision as we are.
Same here. She went from "*barf*" to completely hooked in a second!
