The again, Disco actually stated that all the Enterprise was intentionally kept out of their war with the Klingons, which arguably went worse for the Federation then the Dominion War. Starfleet apparently doesn't want to send their most advanced ships into war. Probably their way of pretending they're not a military or something.

I think some of that also has to do with the some of the issue Olsen had with the way she was portrayed in-costume. IIRC, she was concerned that she was a little too "tarted up" with the somewhat "busty" nature of the outfit.

Yeah, I didn't like it either so I'm glad they changed it. I was just taken a little aback by the sharp contrast of then and now in retrospect of the series.

Also of note: the original Enterprise was sent away during the devastating Klingon War in the Discovery era. Maybe the Enterprise-E was sent on these missions for the same strategic reason. Like an Uno game where you save a Wild +4 for as long as possible.

I suppose this is certainly possible, but it seems more like a contrived plot device, akin to "we're the only ship in the quadrant" nonsense that plagued early Trek to force Kirk's Enterprise into the forefront of the action when no other ships were available - pretty much the reverse of what they've done in the TNG+ era with Picard's Enterprises.

There are at least three novels that I know of for sure, and at least one short story.
There's the two TNG books in the Dominion War miniseries, Behind the Lines and Tunnel Through the Stars, The Battle of Betazed, and there's at least one Enterprise-E story in Tales of the Dominion War.
I think there is also at least one or two comics, but I can't remember for sure.
So? I honestly don't understand why this matters.
As for WandaVision, at this point I'm pretty much convinced that there we are not getting Mephisto or any other secret villain, and that we aren't going to be getting any big last second reveal that there is something else going on here. The last episode made it pretty clear, to me at least, that everything that has been going on has been done entirely by Wanda, Agatha, and Hayward, and I'm pretty sure at this point that they are all who they appear to be as of the last episode.

Back to regularly scheduled programming... Tomorrow is the series finale. "Oh noes, cancelled again after one season (Damn you Fox! Disney!). She went too soon.." (just kidding of course for those of you having hard time with jokes ;))
Actually, I like these one-off series. I didn't think I would, but I do. These are really a filler, lore, info, background builders between movies, and I absolutely love it! Can't wait to see just some of the hanging threads will be resolved and there will be a huge To Be Continues in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as last shot of the show...
Luckily only two weeks more until the next MCU fix :)

I'm sad that it's coming to an end, but it has forced the storytelling to be tight and organic in a way that many other shows are not. I will miss it, but looking forward to getting the BRD's.

Oh excellent! For a second I thought it was an actual new ad! I suppose Kathryn Hahn won't have to worry about doing new car commercials anytime soon. She has been excellent in WandaVision. Depending on how next episode goes, she may get a much bigger roles in MCU going forward!

I can't believe it's the last episode :wah:

Also I really didn't like how the show runner said that people with theories will be "disappointed". if he had never said that, I wouldn't have minded one bit if none of my theories would have come true.
But now when he says people will be disappointed, right before the climax, then that causes me to think hat the last episode won't be very interesting or satisfying.
Now I know there's no logical reason to think hat, but to me it's one of those situation when somebody uses a wrong wording and that causes a negative mindset in the listener/audience. You know what I mean?

I think he might mean Dr Strange or Spiderman isn't going to be showing up. I guess we will find out soon enough.

I wouldn't be shocked in the least if he doesn't show up but we get another character.

Yeah, the less we retcon DSC writer thinking into the rest of the franchise the better.

I have faith that it will neither be Falcon nor Winter Soldier to do a shameless cameo/plug for their upcoming show. The writing is just straight-up better than that.

Yeah I know, I still say telling your audience they will be disappointed right before the final episode is...not very smooth.

I think we will still get one more twist, but it won’t be super outlandish.
At this point we are in Marvel climax territory.
That means a big battle at the end.
Doesn’t mean it won’t be clever, just pretty straight forward in narrative terms.
