Wallace and Gromit question

I didn't know there was a new movie, but I'm glad to know they are back at work after the horrible fire they had a few years back.

Maybe it will come out for Christmas? I got the Wererabbit and a collection of shorts for $5 at Walmart about 2 months ago.

Nice, a new W+G short! I was disappointed in the movie; the characters, while enormously loveable, just don't sustain interest for much longer than the novelty of the plot at hand lasts. Here's hoping this'll be magic more akin to the original three stories.

AMOLAD is in a similar darkish tone to A Close Shave, but still good fun. I liked it a lot.

Plus, Gromit's eye-rolling never gets old. :guffaw:

^(to bigdaddy)it's only a short not a feature length movie.

It's also out on Blu-Ray and there seems to be contradictory information on whether it's region free or not.

Gromit's eye-rolling gives him more character than most of the speaking characters.

Hulu.com, a legal video site, has a number of shorts for Wallace & Gromit on their site (not the new film though), if anybody is interested. I don't think it's available to users outside the U.S.A. though.

It is the darkest of the W&G shorts. I was actually shocked at one particular event at the end. I guess I was just expecting lightness and comedy but the subject matter is really quite macabre.

Wow, thanks for alerting me to the fact that this exists. I adore the Wallace and Gromit shorts and film, but Hadn't heard of this. I'm an American, so I'll have to lie in anticipation it seems.......

I'm sure an annoucement of some kind will be made soon as it's already on video in region 2.

Just a heads up for any Brits who missed A Matter of Loaf and Death the first 2 times, It's on at 8:30 tonight on BBC and HD.

I finally saw the film! I found a streaming version! I loved it as usual. It's hard to go wrong with Gromit Investigating Something (TM). However, "Trousers" is still my favorite as it was my first and it's so twisted, and nothing beats the silent villain. I was actually hoping for something a bit different. "Trousers" was done in the classic Hitchcock style, "Shave" in the Speilberg style, "Were-rabbit in the Landis, B-grade killer films, and the new film seemed to be lmerely a combination of all of this, albiet with a bit of Cameron thrown in at the end (much like the way Cameron was thrown in at the end of "Shave."
