Voyager is without a doubt the BEST!

I'm not sure why, either. But personally, I prefer Voyager to all the other series. Anyone agree? Or not?

I suppose it's a process of elimination. TOS was too ropey, TNG was too stuck-up, DS9 was a soap opera in space and don't get me started on ENT...

Meanwhile, Hidden Frontier is about 47 times better than Voyager, and, as much as I adored the series and it's sequels, it's all just a bunch of chubby pimply people standing in front of blue screens animating cringe-worthy fanfiction. Hells, the sequel is about a Ro Larens younger brother, a gay Star Ship Captain lost in the Andromeda galaxy trying to make his way home to his husband. Obviously the production people are totally trying to prove that they can redo Voyager better than Voyager unless it's a homage rather than an affront.

Though for me the best of the best is New Frontier. Hmmm? It's a book.

Not the biggest fan of VOY, sorry. It was mostly disappointing and/or underwhelming. It could have been great... it just wasn't. I can't say for certain if it's the worst Trek series because I find VOY and ENT to be on the same level.

I definitely agree. Voyager was indeed the greatest! However, I was a TOS fan before Voyager was even introduced to me. TNG was ok..DS9 was indeed way too soap operish for me as well..and ENT..well..just S-T-U-N-K IMO! To this day, I can never watch an ep of the show all the way through.

Pretty much says it all... except for Enterprise. Re-watching it has given me a greater appreciation for it.

What do you mean by "soap operish"? You mean that you actually have to pay attention to the plot because it could be relevant down the line? Or perhaps you mean the fact that ALL of the cast was integral to the story to the point that most of the secondary characters are fleshed out more than many of the main cast on Voyager. How about the idea that decisions have consequences.

Voyager is not even one of my top three. Throw in TAS and some of the fan shows and it falls even further.

VOY was just average. It did the Trek formula competently, never rose above my expectations, and ran out of gas at least a couple seasons before it ended. Plain old dull as dishwater Star Trek.

I quite agree with this. It IS much better than alot of people think.

It is not my favorite Trek or anything like that. But it's a pretty decent show, and gets bashed way more than it deserves, IMO.

I absolutely love Voyager! I used to buy the episodes on VHS the day they were released.
My all-time favourite series has to be TOS but Voyager holds a special place in my heart.
One thing that does annoy me is the people that slag it off!! Did they even bother to watch the show?

^ I've often wondered that, too. Or maybe that when they watched it, they were like 13, and they assume they will feel the same way about it now as they did then.

I mean, it's a really good show - it's not my favorite Trek but it's really good, and at times it is great. What there is about it that causes it to ellicit such hatred from people who like other Trek is inexplicable to me.
