Voyager Fanfics, Creations, and Favorite Videos

Just fell on your "Before Voyager", Janeway's Girl, and let me say that it was pretty good. Bravo mon amie! :techman:
Plus, there are so many fanfictions taking place AFTER the return of Voyager on Earth that, for a change, it was interesting to read one* about what could have happened before Janeway takes command of her new vessel... and it give a certain idea of her relationship with Mark, her fiancé -> even if he ended to break up with her in Hunters (s4), what they shared was enough serious to explain why she refused to yield to the advances made by some people.

Anyway, feel free to become inspired again and again!

(* don't get me wrong, I didn't forget Jeri Taylor's Mosaic).

I posted a new Voyager one-shot fic on FF.net a couple of days ago. It's called A Change of Perspective and my author name there is the same as here. It features Neelix, Torres, and Controller Vesek from Juggernaut and takes places directly after the events in that episode.

A friend of mine sent me yesterday the following link :

http://fictioning.net/viewstory.php?sid=114&warning=4

The fanfiction is called, "Cowboys and Angels" and it's a post-Endgame story where where Chakotay and Seven are still together (and about to become parents) and Janeway finds finally love with ... the Doctor!
Surprising, though I still think that the Doctor is (and will never be more than) a hologram and the idea to link him romantically to some people made of flesh and blood is just ‎incoherent and sorry to even say stupid, no matter it is Seven, Janeway or someone else .

As someone just about ready for menopause, I found this beyond magnificent. Thank you for sharing!

I'm an avid writer and reader of "Voyager" fanfiction.

I won't link any of my chapter stories, as I plan to re-write those. But here are some one-shots I've done:

"My Sister's Caretaker:" The story of how two sisters somehow wound up serving aboard the same lost ship. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9802720/1/My-Sister-s-Caretaker

"Duplicate:" Naomi learns the truth about her birth and identity.

"Eleven Minutes:" Naomi Wildman speaks to her father for the first time. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11177034/1/Eleven-Minutes

"Nightshifters:" How does a former Maquis relate to a former Equinox crewman? https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11160384/1/Nightshifters

"Just One Dance:" After leaving Voyager, Kes met Q Junior on her travels. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11182002/1/Just-One-Dance

"Air Your Grievances:" Seven of Nine is not interested in Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, but she may have found a holiday right up her alley:

I guess I'll take this time to admit that I have read some fanfiction (though admittedly this area is not my true calling, neither reading nor writing)... mainly that centering on Seven and Chak (since I am one of the 2% who think they totally rock together)... and you are the person who wrote one of my favorite short pieces of fluff: Cushion. It's funny and sexy, in a weird way... and I love Chak's "cushion" actually. ;)

That's the fic I'm most embarrassed about, and I leave it up solely because people like you found it so funny. And I like to think it's doing its part to combat the unrealistic "beauty" standards of America.

What C7 stories have you written? Maybe I've read them!

Well I'm glad you left that story up because I did find it enjoyable, and yes it does do a small part in negating the unrealistic image expectations. Oh, the beauty of Imperfection! Seven would not agree, lol. Then again, maybe she would , if your story is on target. ;)
I haven't written anything. .. just reading a few so far. Maybe I'll write something in the future if I can find enough time away from other reponsibiolities in life. If so I'll let you know

Interesting you say that. Kate thought her character should have had an affair with the doctor (2006 Convention talk) . (She never did say long -term. "affair" was her word.) But...didn't she find it distasteful to be in Fair Haven (2009 talk) I think SHE forgot the doctor was just a program and is wild about working with Picardo : )

Well, again, what I said previously only hired my opinion, Catarina, not Mulgrew's so, what she thought/said is ok for me too .... even if this declaration is pretty surprising. :D. That being said, I know that her relationships with some of her former Voyager's castmates were excellent to the point of considering them as very good friends and looking for a reasonnable way of shooting more scenes with them (Picardo, Philips, McNeil, Russ, Dawson) because it meant spending some very good time on/off-sets

Anyway, I'd add that even IF Janeway was romantically attracted by the Doctor's holo program and vice versa (even if the Doctor never showed any romantic interest in Janeway as he did with Seven), she could not go further because even as a hologram - sentient or not -, he remained a Starfleet crew member though a senior officer (... or should I rather say, "industrial property"? :D ) AND as she was the only commander in chief on board, The Doctor automatically fell into the category of subordinates .. and we know all, how much loyal she was to the captain's code of conduit towards the question of non-fraternization with crew members, right?!
-> hey, she did nothing with Chakotay, because of this (personal) rule so, why
why would she be launched into an romatic affair with The Doctor?! :p

I remember following virtual voyager season 8 when the show ended and I wanted to read more adventures, (the homecoming books got too...unrealistic fast and lost interest, a borg plague? really??)

I would hightly suggest reading them. After the Homecoming arc when Kristen Beyer took over they got soooo much better. They're back exploring the Delta Quadrant.

Well, I like your Photons Be Farced the best. :)

There were a lot of dark episodes in Season 4 and here is my new compilation of this dangerous year for Voyager, please enjoy!

Very nice.

Although it's difficult to choose, Season 4 is probably my favourite season - partly because it introduced the Hirogen. Your video actually gave me an idea to share one of my SCIENTIFIC METHOD wallpapers in my thread today - it really is one of the darker eps of VOY. The fact that the aliens were invisible for half of the episode made it kind of cool.

Let me know if you make a Tom Paris compilation one day … :D

Besides the virtual Voyager season 8, there was another set of stories called Voyager Season 7.5. They are written collectively by a group of different writers that call themselves Voyager Season 7.5, and they are on Fanfiction.net. In this set of stories, Endgame is ignored and they get home by coming up with a way to make the slipstream work.
