There wasn't a link, it was a description of a fiction I've been working on (it's a long one), but I lost my nerve to share it and deleted my post ... however if you were interested in an expanded universe type thing featuring Icheb as First Officer of a huge mission back to the DQ, that's what I'm writing. I haven't posted it anywhere yet due to aforementioned lack of nerve.

I have a warm fuzzy place in my heart for Icheb and have enjoyed seeing him attend Starfleet academy in the relaunch but unfortunately he doesn't get too much face time (on paper) so I'd love to read it. I'm sure others feel the same way. I posted a tiny ficlet and got some very kind feedback. I think posters on the Voyager threads tend to be a kinder gentler lot. You should give it a whack!

A new Kes story is available at:

It's called "Kes's Vacation". Kes joins the Voyager crew for a diplomatic mission and ends up on a planet with a deadly secret.
The story is a sequel to "Strange Dreams" (which is a sequel to "Coming Home" but all stories can be read separately).
Note: The story takes place after "Endgame" but I've taken the liberty to have almost all the main characters back on the ship and yes, Janeway is still alive and well in my stories and will remain so.

Here is my Borg Queen, story, finally finished. Believe me it's not easy living in the Borg Queens' heads.
I would like to thank several people, my betas ES, Mriana, and Aeris. I need to thank Aeris for the Queen Pictures and Camryn for the use of her wonderful fiddle for the end piece. I also need to think Belanna and Xdana for reading the first two parts of the story and especially Dana for coming up with why the Borg picked a Queen instead of a King.

There is a sci-fi component (Icheb's experiment). I'm new to this terrain so I'd love to hear your opinion on it.
Another component is romance: some J/C (consider yourself warned!
) and Icheb's infatuation for his superior officer. Nothing kinky, rating PG-13

I am insanely fast with reading. Remember how Seven and Icheb read stuff?
That's me, and I don't have computers in my head. It's a very random skill, but it comes in handy. It tends to make one impatient, though. I laughed for a long time the first time I saw that commercial that said "You have reached the end of the internet." I live in fear of that day! I think it might be possible for me ....
Anyway, I really did enjoy your story! I always thought Icheb had a bit of a crush going on Seven, too, so that was believable. I really liked the way you tied EMH/7 into it, and Harren was so spot on. Really fun to read!
