I wouldn't set foot in most of them. Zzzz. I'd want to do the Worst case Scenario one with it programmed to make me think Seska reprogrammed it to give me a thrill. lol.

I'd play Velocity and for social reasons I'd pop into Fair Haven

Sandrines: too dark and dreary. But for Teacake and Paris I'd swing by.

Jane Eryre: Bossy brats, (justified but not relaxing!) unappealing father. What a waste of a set design.

Neelix' resort program is ugly and bad tropical music. Pass. I suppose esthetics are too important to me. Especially with Tropical themes. Which isn't my favorite scene to begin with.

Proton : I haven't decided if I would enjoy that.

World War: because it's a Star Trek version, meaning toned down, it might be interesting.

Well by that logic, Ayala's baby-oil and disco programme wasn't shown but may have been used. Not to mention Chell's dungeon of BDSM. I'm suggesting it wasn't ongoing, wasn't discussed and wasn't interesting.

I did a review of my posts, and it turns that what I actually said was this:

So I ASKED if Voyager had a gym.

It's been many years since I last watched Voyager on a regular basis, so there are some things I've forgotten.

It does seem rather redundant to have both a gym and a holodeck, and the character's statement of being injured in "the gym" doesn't necessarily mean the gym wasn't a holoprogram.


And WTF does it matter if Velocity had a "fantasy element" to it or not? It was still a competitive activity that any crewmembers could do if they wanted. It wasn't something that only Janeway and Seven were allowed.

It matters to me. I'm explaining why I left them out and why I focused on the ones I did. The holo-cinema was seen once so wasn't hugely memorable (and kinda pedestrian for a holodeck scenario) and Velocity is just a game (also pretty dull).

In a discussion about all the fantastic things you can do on a holodeck, those two didn't stand out. People can discuss them if they want but I'm personally just more interested in what they thought of the communal settings, the fantasy role playing games and what ideas they personally would come up with for holodeck programmes.

It's really not that important. It's just a opportunity to start amusing conversations that spiral off in bizarre directions. That's how the voyager board rolls.

"Dull" is in the eye of the beholder. Just because a movie theatre is mundane to us, that doesn't mean it is to 24th century people who aren't used to that kind of entertainment.

For me, I'd find Sandrine's dull. Ditto the resort program.

What I would do on a holodeck would include role-playing a character in one of my favorite novels, or even a Dungeons & Dragons kind of scenario - that at least isn't too predictable.

Most of the holodeck programs were pretty boring. If I had to choose from the list, Flotter looks like it could be adventurous.

Bleh... why is that awful resort so popular? The only choice is Captain Proton! I want to play as Chaotica's henchman and keep Constance Goodheart screaming....with some of Arachnia's pheromones.

Beats me. To me that resort looks like a snore with its sporty hookers, surfer dudes with too much packing , and ugly 90's decorum. Give me the crystal blue oceans , soft white beach with a nice drink hut, skip the steroid users and just give me my beloved Voy crew to enjoy the time.
