I just finished listening to this podcast great interview. I really like the discussion about Tom Paris' storyline and Doctor Sharak' storyline.
Iwas excited about Kirsten mentioning Garak appearing in the next book this will certainly be interesting to see what role he'll have in the next book.
This was a great interview I really enjoyed listening to Kirsten discussing how she writes her Voyager books.

Thank you so much! It's a complete joy to talk to Kirsten. I love getting to interview her.

I am curious... does the person that admins the Facebook page "Star Trek Books Community" post on this site?

I think they do and I also think a few people know who (I'm thinking Defcon) but I don't follow that group anymore.

Hello friends....

I continue to enjoy the comments on the book. You guys are terrific.

Am popping in to infuriate you. Because, I have no choice. As someone pointed out above, I have no control over the release schedule. I just meet my deadlines and the rest is out of my hands.

I have been advised that the final book in this trilogy, Atonement, will be released on September 1, 2015.

So not a whole year from now...but almost.

Needless to say, I'm sorry for the longish wait. I assumed we would be on a similar timeline as we had between Protectors and Acts of Contrition. But apparently, no.

The good news is that the book that will follow, A Pocket Full of Lies, which I am writing now, should follow less than a year after Atonement. Obviously no release date is set yet, but given that it should be done in the next few months, I am hoping for a quicker turn-around.

Sorry.

KMFB

A Pocket Full of Lies: I'm guessing this doesn't bode well for many folks.

Having said that, is this a start of a new trilogy or the last VOY (or Star Trek) book you will ever write?

Here is our interview with Kirsten about Acts of Contrition! She also lets slip some spoilers for Atonement!
I just finished listening to this episode and I am so pumped for Atonement!! I really love Kirsten as well as her writing, although I have very mixed feelings about the final books in trilogies. I will either end up overwhelmingly happy and walk around in a daze or will become so crushingly upset that I will walk around in a less pleasant kind of haze.

And to have Garak feature!! He was the last character I would have thought would to have a spot in a Voyager book, but I am so looking forward to his appearance. I'm about half way through Deep Space Nine and he's already a favourite, plus I've heard incredibly good things about Crimson Shadow and A Stitch In Time.
Rose i highly advice you to read them all :) You won't regret: because i am in a haze now too... unhappy that the next book in the trilogy is soooo faraway !!!!
Yes Crimson Shadow is awesome :) and i loved Garak's schemes lol !!!

Agreed. The Crimson Shadow is not just a good Star Trek book, but a brilliant sci-fi book.

I'm three chapters in (have just read about the reception) and it feels like reading the hunger games again. I'm really interested in where this story is going.
Will be back at this thread whenI have finished the whole book.

Incidentally, Amazon now has this info for the next book, Atonement:

  • Series: Star Trek: Voyager
  • Mass Market Paperback: 544 pages
  • Publisher: Pocket Books/Star Trek (August 25, 2015)

Amazing page count! That's the biggest KMFB VOY-R book since Full Circle. I can't wait! I want it now :scream:

and now I'm finished.
A great read indeed, one of the best Treklit novels I have ever read.

The Confederacy feels like what the Ferengi and Dominion could have been meshed together, I'm really looking forward to Atonement!

I'm so hoping the page count is accurate. I've got the 6 books stockpiled, the first 2 will be a re-read, the next 4 new stuff and then I get the finale in August 2015 or earlier!
