Yeah, I know what you mean! I had talked to him a little over a month ago, and he seemed to have been doing better. He was excited, his spirits were high, he was ready to take on the world and beat his health problems, and now this.

I am returning from my exodus to say that Ivan was a fantastic guy. NICE guy, too. I met him a number of times and last saw him in January when he was in the hospital. Despite being sick he was in great spirits and we had some great laughs. His fantastic personality was infectious and I know that I'm less without it.

He had several issues with illness, but it was primarily because he was diabetic. He had battled it his whole life, in and out of the hospital.
