Very Sad News: Red Ranger has passed away.

I regret to say that this thread has me lost for words, some what. I never knew Red Ranger, but to hear the loss of a man from NYC named Ivan whom this forum knew dearly, is both tragic and sadening. We don't know what happens, only what our faith tells us, but I do know that he's at peace now.

R.I.P Dude :). :( This forum misses you and some of us, never got the chance.

Genuinely sad news to learn.

I never knew RR on a personal level, but over the years we certainly discussed a wide range of topics. I rather liked the guy. Opinionated at times, witty at others, often both simultaneously. I'll certainly miss the fellow around here. He was a poster that I always reckoned must have been a laugh to meet and get to know in person, and it's sad to know I no longer have that chance.

RIP Red Ranger

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. And may he rest in peace.

By the way, I'm soliciting ideas for a smilie in honor of Red Ranger. I've started a thread on it in TNZ, so if you've TNZ added go there please and add to the thread. If not, post it here, but I'm too lazy to do a separate thread.

I'll be taking suggestions up 'til June 1.

Make sure it's something that will be used. No use designing a cute/funny/touching smilie if no one finds the need to use it in a post, so bear that in mind when designing the smilie.

I'm sorry to hear this.
I don't like hearing of anyone passing away even if I've never gotten along with them here, we all share the same planet
same like for this show.
RIP, Red Ranger.

Lt. Cmdr. Data: Sir - the purpose of this gathering... confuses me.
Capt. Picard: Oh? How so?
Lt. Cmdr. Data: My thoughts are not for Tasha, but for myself. I keep thinking how empty it will be without her presence. Did I miss the point?
Capt. Picard: No, you didn't, Data. You got it.

This is the first I'd heard of this sad news.

I didn't know RR that well, admittedly, but he seemed to be a cheerful presence on the TBBS, and it was always great to hear from him.

RIP :(

Just wanted to add my condolences for his family and for all those who knew him beyond cyberspace. Just heard about it. Was a respectable poster. Very sad to hear this. RIP RR.

Wow, what a bummer. First Mallory this year, now Red Ranger. Enjoyed many of his postings. Never made a connection, though I now wish I had... RIP, Ivan.

ah, I didn't know that. At the time she died I was no member here but posted at her own board (KellyZ Corner).
Thanks for the info.
