Fortune Class Long Range Frigate

Based on an unused model from TNG, sold at auction.

Re: KAHN!

You shame me with your prolific output, while I struggle with one set of plans for months on end. :)

Re: KAHN!

Mandel’s Ak’Hist AS-E2 Destroyer

Another Amalgram, largely due to the one ‘3 view’ picture I had of this not only not matched Mandel’s, but didn’t have all three views lined up right.

Re: KAHN!

Just to let everyone know, my site at www.pixelsagas.com is pretty much up and running. (Not too bad for a very part-time effort of one), so I'm going to save myself a smidge of effort and just start posting over there.

NNNNNNOOOOOOOooooooooo!!!!!!!!! I can only visit so many sites in a day and still get on with real life. Shoot. Guess I gotta add this to the mandatory visitation list. Great work on on these, by the way.

Re: Schematics

Hmm... Klodode-class, I wonder where that name came from?

Great work as usual, Vance.

Re: Schematics

^^^ McMaster's blueprints. Remember, SFB adopted his phaser placements and the idea of the Klingons as drone users as well.

Re: Schematics

Miranda Class (Chagaris Type)

Used in DS9, basically the Miranda with the Constellation's warp engines.

Re: Schematics

Hello!

I'm new to the Trek BBS forum, having following a link here form the L-CARS blueprints site.

Love those drawings, Vance.

I can only pencil-draw, and I have very little training in mechanical drawing. (Just basic pencil drawings in Jr. High)

I was wondering if anybody ever explored the angle of de-evolving the Constitution-class of Federation starships. I regsitered recently at Memory Alpha and brought up some ideas there. That site is very rigidly linked to canon, though. What I'm talking about is a "missing link" between the NX-01 "Akiraprise" and Capt. Pike's NCC-1701 Entperprise. Actually, there might be two or three missing links in there, since Archer's ship was supposedly decommissioned in 2161 and Pike visited Talos IV around 2254, according to Memory Alpha. Memory Alpha may have inadvertently provided the "missing link", in the form of an original "final" drawing made by Matt Jefferies:

http://www.memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Image:Jefferies_Enterprise_sketch.jpg

This drawing was the "final" rough sketch on which the "original" Enterprise was to be based. I'm assuming that the original U.S.S. Constitution pre-dated Pike's Enterprise by decades. (This isn't canon, but there's no canon evidence against it, either.) Undoubtedly, the technology had to evolve before later subclasses of the Constitution-class began to exhibit the appearance and abilities of Pike's/Kirk's vessel. I posted some of my concerns under the pen name "Ol' Horta Face" on the Talk Page attached to Memory Alpha's article on the Constitution-class.

I would imagine just about anyone here has vastly superior drawing ability over me. Does this sound interesting to any of you?

Hey, Vance! Great additions as usual. Re: the Chagaris variant - was there really a Miranda kitbash with Constellation nacelles attached flying around out there? I honestly never noticed that! Was it Sacrifice of Budget...er...Angels that these were seen? I'd really like to know.

"Sacrifice of Angels" supposedly had them, but I admit I haven't actually WATCH the bulk of DS9 to know for sure. I did get the image from episode screenshots, though.

Vance,

My reaction to the Charybdis-class. More of a request:

It looks really interesting. Is there any chance you could make a scout version that either replaces the torpedo tubes (or moves them) and put in a TMP-styled navi-deflector there, like the same kind of nose-dish arrangement as the NX-01 Enterprise, and maybe give the saucer a full lower tier like all the Mrianda-class ships had?

Have you ever made any other detailed drawings of this class, like an aft view, bottom view, or perspective?

Thanks Wingsley! I was starting to second-guess myself on that old bird. Maybe now I won't have to. :)
