A number of years ago, I had an idea for a Buffy/Angel/Charmed/Smallville/Stargate story that involved some of the more longer-lived characters along with the descendants of the show's mortal characters living into the 23rd and 24th centuries and using the Star Trek universe as the future they're living in. Some of those characters would join Starfleet (mostly the descendants), others might be living it up on some remote planet or outpost and some might still be living in the shadows on Earth or other core Federation worlds. Anyways, real life and other story ideas got in the way, and I lost track of this story...
And then, back in 2013 - right around the time The Originals came out - I revived the plot, but substituted the Vampire Diaries and Originals characters for the Buffy, et. al. ones. I once again lost interest in the story, but I recently pulled both ideas out of storage and am considering dusting them off and seeing what I can do with one or both of them.
What do you guys think? Any thoughts, opinions, interesting facts you feel like sharing?
