V sucks HARDER

They should have made the visitors humans from the future or an alternate reality or shapeshifters or anything other than secret lizards who've all developed a human-furry fetish.

Seriously, how can a lizard be attracted to what for them is a fucking halloween costume?

And they're developing emotions (nice emotions) because why? Halloween costumes are changing millions of years of evolution that made them emotionless walking, talking lizards?

And the US won't stop people crossing the Rio Grande but it'll force pretty human-aliens to apply for Visas?

God, this show blows.

HAH, I don't know exactly which line it is, but this post is amusing.

I never liked the original and from what I have seen of the new version, it isn't much better.

The Firefly bitch is just far too clichéd. I half expect her to wind up with a black moustache and see her twirling it.

Don't forget that she's also a Stargate bitch. :)

I'm half way though watching that drenn Starhyke with Claudia Christianson, which is all about humans being reintroduced to their emotions, great shades of equilibrium, to heightened human emotions, after suppressing them with drugs for the last few centuries as they exterminated all life in the universe that did not conform to their ultrasupremist vision... The chief engineer had sex with a layercake while she crashed a 7 year olds birthday party.

V has no concept of the depravity human emotion is capable of inducing if it has the slightest inclination towards hedonism. All the humans on V are just so stoic and dull.

That being al said and done Starhyke is AWFUL!!!

I'm the kind of guy who'll give shows chances until they wear my patience (Greys anatomy. I'm looking at you).

However the show is getting on my nerves with the slow moving plot and the annoying characters. I swear last week the only thing of interest other then Father Jack was that I noticed was that Tyler gained some weight. Thats it.

You'd think Ryan would have some clue about what they were planning. Of course, you'd also think Ryan wouldn't be stupid enough to be hunting (all alone, with no one around or even knowing what he was doing earlire in the series) for a guy he, himself, killed.
But if John May killed Original Ryan and absconded with his human suit - the perfect disguise - then it all makes much mores sense, huh? ;)
There's no way for that to make sense. If it was a recent event (after Ryan found Mays earlier in the series), then he wouldn't be more interested in Ryan's girlfriend than his own family. Nor would he have to try and figure out where he, himself, had hidden the communication device.

If it happened in the distant past, then it still doesn't make one bit of sense that he'd be hunting for himself earlier in the series. There were like two or three episodes of him trying to track Mays down before he hooked up with the rest of the cast.

Hey stop spoiling what would be the only interesting plot twist this show has done so far. :rommie:

And they're developing emotions (nice emotions) because why? Halloween costumes are changing millions of years of evolution that made them emotionless walking, talking lizards?

The V's are obviously a social species. Humans use emotions as the glue that allows us to be a social species and benefit from it by building cities, inventing space travel, etc. So the V's must also have something as their social glue - bliss, I guess - but why should human emotions be seen as superior to V bliss? They're both adaptations that allow their respective species to be highly successful. They're equal.

I really like how the aliens have no ray guns. Their ultimate weapon is a box cutter blade on the end of a long handle.

I like the premise, and so far it's been okay but I do think they need to advance the story and provide us with something new. I allowed for this pacing and rehashing of the series at the start because the writers were wanting to not only pay homage to the original series but do something new with it too. So far it's muddled its way between them.

Now that they've made the leap into torture porn, I'm done. A fannish desire to see Mitchell and Gretsch and Baccarin isn't enough to put up with hateful trash.
