USS Titan 3D pic????

Here is a new close-up shot of the Bridge Module that Ellery sent me.

She's a beauty...

Anyone who has a problem with her design, IMHO, is just jealous they lost the contest. :P j/k.

yeah... my opinion. that's why i posted it. :D

btw - you shouldn't confuse butt fugly with poor design. aesthetically pleasing doesn't always equate to a good design just as the reverse is true.

Man... when those forward torpedoes fire... the folks on the Bridge are gonna HEAR it! LOL.

Those are dedicated sensor Probe Launchers. I wanted them to be Multi Purpose Torpedo Launchers, But Marco said that he wanted them to be dedicated
to just Sensor Probes.

I also didn't like it at first but after I saw the mesh progress on scifimesh I really started to like it. I'm looking forward to the finished scene.

Interesting choice for docking-port locations there... I'm assuming that although they appear to be docking ports, they are ONLY airlocks. You'd be very hard-pressed to fly anything dockable up adjacent to those. So I'm guessing that they went ahead and reused std. docking rings purely because they got a volume discount? ;)

Airlocks and Worker Bee Docking.

Here is the latest renders from Ellery.

He has cleaned up the Bridge module, and added some fun details
under the sensor Pod. yes those are Mini Impulse vents.

Just so you know those are not the main impulse engines, they are used
only if the Titan needs that extra burst of speed getting out of trouble.

During normal none emergency situations the Aux Impulse drive
in not actively interfearing with the Sensor pods function

nice touch, I can see a situation where extra impulse engines would come in handy. Good job on cleaning up the bridge module.

Pass along to Ellery... kudos for giving her a hangar deck door setup that could open. ;)

A suggestion - maybe he's doing this already, maybe not, but...

1) Give it an overhang (ala TOS) of some sort... a "door sil" if you know what I mean. Doesn't have to be a think shell-like flange as in the original 1701, but SOMETHING around the perimeter would be nice.

2) This is important (to me, at least... other people might not care at all!). Each door segment should be slightly different from the adjacent one... ie, there should be a "step" as you go from one panel to the next adjacent one. How much... that's a matter of taste. But if you do that, it looks like real doors and not just grooves in a solid. At least, it does to me. ;)
