I sent you an invitation on MSN.That is beautiful! Well done.
Now, lets see about getting your ships into Star Trek Legacy.
Contact me through one of my IM's. (Check my contact info on my profile)
Thanks.Outstanding!

Orthos, as requested...I would be interested in the orthos of the Kelvin. Could you post them here? I am also interested in the shuttles as well.![]()

It's my goal for the week.

Thanks.Awsome as always. What amazes me is how quick you are with these projects...good eye for capturing details out of quick-cut trailer grabs, too.
Figuring out perspective issues, etc. etc.
I also like how you've let us see the evolution of these projects from "workbench" to, essentially official orthos and views.
Do you have a site up with more of your work?
(or any blender tutorials, perhaps?![]()
I get kind of obsessive when I start one of these... I started remodeling this one last Friday afternoon, spent about 3 hours then, about 2 hours Saturday, and about 3 hours on Sunday.
Know of any good free hosting sites that have reasonable size limits?
That's actually ok by me.Sorry to grab your artwork for my own evil purposes, but here's something kind of disturbing for the purists:

It's pretty clear from the trailer shots that the Kelvin saucer rim has two rows of windows and is thusly two decks thick. Your 3-D model looks very close to the actual thing. If we assume the kelvin has the same deck thickness as the TOS-E, well...holy hell that thing dwarfs the Original E.
And if the STXI-E is supposed to be much larger than the Kelvin, well...things get interesting. I still think we might end up with a mammoth ship.
I think it would be more realistic for it to be larger, having to carry supplies, and whatnot.

I hope we get new blueprints or at least a new tech manual out of this movie, to give us definite dimensions, so we can stop wondering.![]()
