Gods no, I said a lot, not all. The jammies are the worse looking things in the film. Ok the kelvinprise may be worse.

That does look better than Discovery's uniforms.
See, "incoherence" is a thing with an actual definition independent of your opinion about it. It implies there are conflicting styles being used conversely with each other that are in some way contradictory. If, for example, we were watching a movie with an obvious steampunk style and suddenly one character shows up wearing Ironman-style powered armor which is supposedly also steam powered, we have a "WTF?" moment and could theorize that maybe one of the mechanical designers doesn't really understand what "steampunk" means.
Discovery doesn't show us anything like that, which isn't surprising, because the technical designs are all more or less on the same page with what they're trying to do. Just because YOU don't know what they're doing doesn't mean THEY don't know what they're doing.
Its those added on sides that really hurt the DSC uniforms IMO.
Are we talking about uniforms? Why? There is no contest:

The Oberth is probably the most unique ship, I don’t think any other ship uses it’s design aesthetics
They grew on me, faster than the JJ version ones. But mainly at a distance. Close up, it’s just bling.

The Prometheus, the Equinox, the Voyager are all very clearly related in a way that the ships in DSC for the most part are not.
And the lack of any readily visible rank insignia. Yeah, I know the round pips are embossed on the Starfleet arrowheads but be honest, how easy is it to see them from any kind of distance? At least on ENT and in the TNG era the rank squares and pips are easily visible and you can more or less tell which rank somebody is supposed to be without having to squint or hope for a closeup that also shows their upper torso.
The DSC uniforms may be my least-favorite of all Starfleet uniforms with the sole exception of the TMP ones.
Now that I think about it, it's entirely possible that the many ship designs we see on DSC might be from very different periods, like maybe up to 3-4 decades apart.
Solid colors would be preferable. I prefer the Kelvin ship uniforms,or even the Abrams primary color ones, rather than the more muted DISCO suits. They would look better without them or with just soild side colors.

Better than the DISCO jammies.Gods I hate the kelvin jammies.
You got that, too?Pro tip: If you had actually wanted to converse with me about the article, you could have simply asked, "Why?" Instead, you repaid my honest opinion with sarcasm, essentially signalling that dissenting views are unwelcome.
Better than the DISCO jammies.
Agree to disagree thenOh hell no. Kelvin had some fantastic uniforms, many better than DSC uniforms, so very many better. But the jammies are not among them.
How would you design a uniform?Fair enough.
