I agree with the first point, but it was more cringeworthy than fun.I think Beyond was the weakest of the three films, but still very fun to watch.
If we're going to stick strictly with pragmatic and practical functionality, then every Star Trek ship ever designed is stupid.

I'd say that the first two films are ambitious concepts executed really sloppily, while Beyond is a simple concept executed somewhat decently.I didn't find anything in Beyond to be cringeworthy. I can't say the same for the 2009 film, and certainly not for Into Darkness.
To be clear, I loved all three films, but STB was easily the least cringeworthy of the three.
Since the same people are always interacting in the same places despite HUGE differences in circumstances, I'd say there's a good chance that's happeningUnless the multiverse is guided by some kind of omnipotent overlord that ensures the parallel characteristics of the same individuals across all of existence.

Sorry..I meant squished slanted neck.eh? The TOS neck was slanted.
There is nothing in the show to imply that.My impression is the Constitution class is a newer design, but DSC and the Glenn has massive upgrades to support the spore drive.
Well they mentioned Captain AprilAs for the Enterprise, maybe it was built in 2245 as the non-canon lore says, or maybe it's factory fresh too. Discovery likes to make changes.

Until they say other wise, he did.He could've commanded any ship though.
TAS is canon.Where, aside from TAS, which is non-canon?
I don't even know what people really mean by it.
