Hey Madman,
In one of the long shots from the movie you can see a ship docked at the station that has the two nacelles up like your Valiant, but with just one secondary hull underneath connected by a traditional neck. Much like one of the original concept sketches Jefferies did for the original show. Any plans to reproduce that using your kit parts? Maybe just using the Constellation parts re arranged a little?

this is a great thread and all, but you do realise the last post was from four years ago? as much as it looks great I don't think there's anything really going on here any more (understatement of the century), certainly not enough to warrant toiling in the dark arts of thread necromancy..
I'm not exactly sure what trekbbs policy is on necroposting (it's gone out of my head at the moment) but on most forums I believe it's generally frowned upon. just FYI.

The policy seems to vary between forums, but I would think if TPTB didn't want a post resurrected from 3 (or so) years ago, they'd close and/or delete it after a certain amount of time.
I think "hate" is a little strong.
But sometimes, a mod will get a bit nasty about necro-ing an old thread, then close it, so it's a little inconsistent overall.
I like that they don't close old threads too soon, like after a few months of inactivity.

Man, I really want to get back in to making some of this kind of stuff, but things have been so crazy lately. We're only about a month away from when our son gets here, so the house has been getting a lot of attention.

Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily 'hate' necroposting, it just generally tends to take space away from more recent and active threads. if it actually serves to generate something new and interesting in terms of content (which to be fair, it kinda has in this case) then I'm more than happy to eat my words. On the subject of which; I really like the new (old?) render there Madman!
