They need a clean break like the Air Force did with the Army.
The "Space Force" is not a separate branch. It's under the Air Force, just like the Marines are under the Navy.

I was speaking of their ranks. The "Space Force" is not a separate branch. It's under the Air Force, just like the Marines are under the Navy.
I'd like either #3 or #4 if the angle of the chevrons was a little larger. I prefer "broad" rank insignia over "skinny".

That's a good point. I like 1 because it incorporates their logo in quite a bit more. I think the curved upper part is evocative of Earth's atmosphere so I like it in terms of style. 4 is OK with a more simplistic stylingThey need a clean break like the Air Force did with the Army.
You are getting "branch" mixed up with "department".
The "Department of the Navy" has two separate branches: the US Navy and the US Marine Corps. The USMC is not "under" the Navy.
Likewise, the "Department of the Air Force" has two separate branches: The US Air Force and the US Space Force. The US Space Force is not "under" the Air Force.
