Uniforms in the new series

TOS civilians wore Pink Jumpsuits. Your argument is invalid.

My only concern is what kind of special custom suit the babe will get.

The Troi dress?
The 7 of 9 gimp suit?
The T'Pol jogging outfit?

I tend to agree, and liked the different technical manuals as they show a lot more variants on the TOS uniforms than seen in films.
Would the new series benefit with a two piece uniform or a unisex jumpsuit? I prefer TOS uniforms because it's practical and seems fitting for a mission for 5 years. With a variation of the uniforms, should there be some sort of standard? The worst thing I would want to see is the incoherent mess seen in Generations where officers are wearing different variants of the uniforms from scene to scene.

A few changes here and there, with the pants leg opening for example, and I would pick these.

Just an idea. How would the outfits look if it had the TOS type pants look? You know, show more boots. I love looking at shined, long boots.

a lot of fans have developed some interesting concepts for variations. This has a directory of some more interesting ones.
I'm guessing that it may be a part of a online game, anybody know who or what a "prism" is, some type of job position?

*Hisses at marines and chaplains*
Haven't a problem with either, I especially like the idea of Starfleet chaplains being stationed aboard starships.

The idea of Marines has been debated among fans for years, I certainly don't have a problem with there being such in Star Trek. The utility of there being some kind of infantry (inside Starfleet or separate) is pretty obvious, at least to me.

That's called "blousing the boots". You fold the leg of the pants up inside itself, and strap it down with an elastic band (hooks on each end to close it into a loop) over the top of the combat boot. Takes lots and lots of practice to get it just right. Some people cheat and put the pant legs inside the boots, but I found that to be very uncomfortable because I liked my boots laced up fairly snug.

What's the issue? Starfleet is the military, and I'm sure in the 24th century there will still be people who practice religion.
I'm sure both of them can handle it on their own or with the counselor. Seriously, it is a secular society.
(But I already regret bringing the topic up even tangentially. This will derail the tread. Let's not.)

Forget the utopian "vision" of Trek. Let's see some Starfleet black ops units. Anybody want to speculate on what the uniforms would look like?
