So the Federation tolderance is zero if you have any kind of augmentation. Not a fan of this blanket approach.

That's the Federation way.So the Federation tolderance is zero if you have any kind of augmentation. Not a fan of this blanket approach.
Yeah....I give it one or two episodes before she's back on the bridge and life carries on.Given Una is in the season 2 trailer, that would seem to make her post-season 1 fate rather obvious...
The leather jackets are great I agree. Super cool. The genetic augmentations Chapel does are not permanent nor designed to make anyone a superbeing like Bashir or Una.So technically isn't Chapel doing disguises on the crew also genetic manipulation? But that's OK because it's an away mission..
BTW I do like the leather jackets they had
It's been like that since DS9 season 5.So the Federation tolderance is zero if you have any kind of augmentation. Not a fan of this blanket approach.
The whole concept is dumb, never bought into at all - we'll definitely have some sort of genetic manipulation by the 23rd century (assuming any of us are still here) - even if it's just disease prevention - sight/hearing decline etc.
AFAICT, the clarification against non-essential, elective and particularly post-natal genetic modification offered by Doctor Bashir, I Presume is still in play.
Similarly, non-genetic augmentation (or at least repair) of birth defects and the like have largely been permitted (Geordi LaForge's VISOR/ocular implants for instance), and in fact some Illyrian style re-engineering for environmental issues can be legalised in SNW as it was legal for Benzities to be modified for full compatiblity for Class-M environments.

Been around since DS9. Cadets know perfectly well what they are getting into when they try and sign up.So the Federation tolderance is zero if you have any kind of augmentation. Not a fan of this blanket approach.
Because that's what she wanted. (The race can adjust to meet any environmental or physical factors they want to, and she wanted to join Starfleet looking as Human as possible.)I wonder if there will be an explanation why Una continues to look like a Human?
Yes, but I'm interested to see the "how" of it.Given Una is in the season 2 trailer, that would seem to make her post-season 1 fate rather obvious...

Glad to be of service! They look super neat but how does american sizing work? In Australia my sizing is large and not sure how that translates to numbers, never mind I worked it out. I know what I am buying soon
For anyone else who is curious, the numbers are the fit around the chest in inches, just like with a suit or sport coat. I believe UK, Australia and US sizing for that kind of garment are very similar. They look super neat but how does american sizing work?
