UK BBSers: From Russia with SNOW....

Left one feeling a little firm to the touch, despite improved weather. Must investigate. Possibly to do with side I slept on? Glue accident?

Never mind. Ooh! BobtheSkutter might be on Xbox Live tonight. I'll send him a voice message of me straining out a poop. Lolololol.

Is it uncouth to write "lol" with pen & paper?

See, the thing about having a throat infection is that laughter makes you cough quite a lot. With gusto. So now I have Jim to thank for enabling me to perfect the trick of coughing my lungs out of my nose and mouth at the same time.

Gawdblessyersir. :D

Such an honour. I am going to have to blame you like ITL did. I've had a coughing fit from laughing too. Oh, and keep up the good work on GameWank btw.:techman:

I thought it'd amuse you Britons ;)

Today's headlines- SNOW MELTS, CLAIMS MET OFFICE

SNOW is a delicate substance made of tiny ice crystals and unlikely to last forever, the Met Office claimed last night.
Experts insisted the granular material had a soft and open structure that was very likely to turn into water, and was not an airborne member of the notoriously hardwearing diamond family.

As millions of Britons stocked up on anti-wolf equipment, climatologists claimed the snow would disappear within days as rising air temperatures resulted in the breakdown of its crystalline structure in a process they referred to as 'melting'.

And ANGRY PARENTS FORCED TO SPEND SIX HOURS TOBOGGANING
PARENTS reacted angrily yesterday after it was revealed they had been forced to spend all day with their children for no reason.
Thousands of schools remained shut despite improving weather conditions, leaving millions of parents standing in the freezing cold at the top of a slight incline, wishing they were dead.

Tom Logan, a Croydon estate agent, said he was unable to arrange emergency childcare adding: "I even tried the foul-smelling Scotsman outside the off licence who stands there all day shouting 'fuck you' at parked cars.

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

I bought some anti-wolf equipment just to be safe. OK, it's a big stick. With a nail in it. And so far, I have been free of wolves. So it's working.

Oh, BTW - "melting"? What sort of scientific doublespeak is this? Those boffins should come down off their cloud and join the real world, where a slight chill is mere moments away for those of us braving the elements with stoicism and Bovril.

I swear I heard someone say "Bit parky, innit? Glad I've got me thermals on." the other day.....

Scary.

The sun has finally embraced my face for the first time this week. :D

If the rumours and ancient foretellings are true, however, looks like there's more to come.... unless you live in London.

Yes, because the sun never shines in London.

Oh wait, that's not what you meant?

Yes, because the sun never shines in London.

No. Because it's a shit heap. Full of fog. And cunts.

Does that about cover it or do we have more time to crowbar the north/south divide? ;)

My sister spent three months "over there" and came back with a long long list of everything that is wrong with London. Funny she loved the rest of the country but wouldn't stop ranting about all the horrible London stuff.

Did anyone else hear the news story about that girl who died in a sledging accident?

Radio 1 reported before she actually died, calling it a terrible sledging mishap and I laughed myself sore for about 15 minutes. A sledging accident, the main item on the 6pm news!

yes, a girl died today on an out of control sledge picking up a deadly speed on a steep hill. I heard about it. I expect it made the headlines largely to caution others about getting themselves in similar situations. I expect a lot of children are sledging this week or will be this weekend. And they'll all be out looking for a decent hill... News is best when it helps to prevent tragedies, not just to report them when they happen.

yeah i heard about that, aparently from what i heard they went thruogh one fence before hitting the second one must have been one hell of a speed they got up. used a car roof didnt they?
not good
still at least the snows almost gone from round here which is good

Well, the snow has now finally gone! It's as if it was never there in the first place... ;)

It happened not that far away from where I live:
