You know, thats where the lumpy texture of LEGO parts actually works to the better. I wish they made more smooth surface covers and the like--or would work with Vance and give us some mix and match hulls.

Yeah, well Star Trek vessels are pretty hard to make out of Lego. If, and I mean IF Star Trek sets were ever made, it wouldn't be like Star Wars sets. Lego would need to manufacture many, many new pieces, in order to reproduce the round shapes accurately enough. Not to mention new pieces to reproduce stuff such as phaser arrays.
