Two Skeletons

...and it's also been pointed out that Jack isn't that great of a doctor, either. :)

What? Where? What TV series have you been watching the last 6 years?

Nothing on the show has ever shown Jack to be anything other then an amazing doctor.

He fixed a woman no one thought would ever walk again.

He is considered a "miracle worker", patients travel from around the world to have him be their doctor.

He preformed an almost inoperable spinal surgery in an ancient hospital with only a fertility doctor as assistance and succeeded, while also purposely damaging the patients kidney sack, so he almost bleed to death, before fixing that as well and still saving the patient.

He kept Boone alive much longer then anyone else could have, while still giving him his own blood using only vines and plant needles for the transfusion, and only primitive tools for the surgery.

And I am sure there have been many other times that it has been show to us that jack is not just a good doctor, but he is an amazing doctor.

Only three years or so after he got back from the Island did he start to drink and go down hill. And even then we never saw him preform a bad surgery or mess up with a patient, he only messed up his personal life. In fact, even when he was so drunk and depressed he still jumped in to that flaming car wreck and managed to save a couple of people's lives until the ambulance got there.

So I think we can assume that Jack is a good doctor and knows what he is doing.

The last episode demonstrated that the colored rocks are messages Jacob and Smokey send to each other as they play their game. Since they're the only ones who have been shown to do that on the show, it stands to reason that one or both of them are responsible for placing the skeletons there or they're the actual skeletons and some third party who's aware of the game put the stones there for a symbolic purpose.

But since neither one of them is a chick, that kinda limits it to the former.

The final scene of the show is going to be Hurley in a mental institution playing Backgammon with his imaginary friend Dave.

The doctors will then tell Hurley the island is fake and he'll flip out and scream "It's reeeeeeeal! It is reaaaaaal! I created it! Don't you understand?! You cannot destroy an idea."

LOST

Could they literally be Adam and Eve and the island is Eden and the smoke monster is the serpent in the garden? lol Not saying this is right or what I want, but do you think this is a possibility with these writers of the show?

Maybe Smokey is really female. She assumes dead people's forms, and maybe the guy we saw at the beginning of the incident was actually someone who died on the island before and Miss Smokey assumed his shape.

:)

Something like that is certainly possible. Perhaps the skeletons belong to the bodies of two former protectors of the Island (not necessarily Jacob and MiB, but whoever had their jobs before them). Perhaps Jacob and MiB used to be Candidates themselves back in the day.

While it's certainly possible that Adam and Eve are 2 people we've never met, I sincerely doubt that's the case. The writers have gone on record as saying that Adam and eve are their "proof" that they had the story planned out ahead of time and the only way that makes sense is if Adam and Eve are 2 people we know.

Still could be Jacob and Esau's parents, or predecessors. That would be two people we don't know and still fit with the way things have been going.

I can't wait to do a series rewatch once the series ends. It will be cool to watch season 1 and the first time we run into the skeletons and have the knowledge of who they are. It will be a "whoa, little did they know what they were going to have to go through". It's funny watching Season 1 eps now and how simple and naive the story is before it gets uber complicated.

^I just rewatched the series a little while ago, and I was amazed at how many questions from Season 1 still haven't been answered! You certainly have a lot more knowledge of what's going on, but Season 1 still holds a lot of mysteries that haven't quite been figured out yet. It made it both fascinating and frustrating at the same time.
